I have used City Computer multiple times, and every single time the customer service has been incredibly abhorred. The owner fails to even acknowledge you when you enter the place, you've got to actually start talking to him, which he seems to act as though it's an interruption from him and his precious computer screen, which as important as he treats it, is typically only browsing the Internet or playing a game. I once waited 15 minutes while he recanted to someone on the phone how he can drink an entire 6 pack in one night. He always answers the phone if it rings, even in the middle of a conversation with an existing customer, has a full conversation with the person on the other end, and then gets back to you, at which point you need to start your conversation all over again because he's forgotten what you were talking about by then. On my last visit, and I do mean my last ever, he quoted me $169 for a data transfer and then when I went to pick up the machine gave me a bill for $370. When I questioned him on why it was so high he looked befuddled, I reminded him of my quote and he brought it down to $173. Why the extra four dollars, I have no idea. Seriously, this guy is bad news all around. He recently cut his hours back to 1pm - 6pm, presumably because even the least trained person at Geek Squad is going give you a more pleasant experience than City Computer...

Pros: local

Cons: rude, poor service, price gouging, account mishandling, loses computer parts
