I've had my nails done at some of the best salons/spas in the Pittsburgh area, and I have to say that this place ranks right up there. This place is tiny, but has lots of character and is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Hope for any of your manicure needs. She pays great attention to detail, and makes sure her customers are comfortable every step of the way. I will definitely return to Lewis again and again.

Pros: Friendly staff, unpretentious atmosphere, superior work, reasonable prices

Cons: steep stairs leading to the upper level of the establishment

I have been going to Lewis' for years and I love it there. I get exceptional service everytime that i go. all the stylist are great and are well trained, but i do prefer Laura. She always does a great job especially with the color. She has trained for years under the best and she also has many noted acheivements. Hope is amazing with the nail services and is the most freindly person I have ever talked to. So when booking ask for either one, and if you can't get in with one of them try anyone else and you'll be pleased.

Pros: everyone is so nice, always treated well, nighttime recep. rock

Cons: not to pleased with daytime recep.

How distastful for a MOTHER to attack a man at his job... Ok, so with that said, it does not stop me from writing the review I came to write about Lewis Salon. They have a good service all around. I was greeted when walking in and the atmosphere was that of family love when a baby was being bounced around from arm to arm. Professionally they offer good services. Waxing was better then I had experienced. I walked away without skin ripped off my face (something I have encountered at a couple of places). My hair came out great! The colors were blended nicely (thanks to Sean beleieve it or not! Regardless of his personal life). He had a great chair side manner. The ladies were great in assiting me in decisions of colors. Thanks Lewis Salon... A day of pampering with good people is what a girl needs to pump up her self esteem! Continue to do the great job your doing!

I've gone to Lewis' a few times for haircuts and i found that they were not particularly good at consulting. I went to a few stylists and none could really advice me about a good cut for my face shape, or hair texture. My hair ended up looking flat and lifeless. However, I have been going there recently for eyebrow waxing and the girl I see (Laura) does a great job. She has never overwaxed or burned me. My eyebrows always look natural and not overly thin.

Pros: good waxing, relatively low prices

Cons: poor consulting for cuts, parking is tough

Please come see Sean he does hair. He is my baby's daddy and he owes me 16,000.00 plus+$$$ dollars in back child support he also hasn't paid much of it. We (me and baby) have been struggling in Akron,Ohio to make ends meet. We don't get along because he also cheated on me several times and even with the babysitter(Ashley)who I heard had a baby by him and a girl in Pittsburg has a son Noah by him although he only really cares for his son.Be careful ladies you don't want to sleep with this man he has children around the globe like Flavor Flav.

Pros: If you see him he looks like Prince he's too metro for me

Cons: "When a woman's fed up" R Kelly sayz it all

I got my eyebrows done several times, and they kept burning my eyebrows. I wanted to give it a fair chance, that is why I came back. The haircut was lackluster and they put way too much product in that my hair looked limp when it was finished. If you want a cheap haircut this is where to go. If you want it to look good, this is not where to go.

Corey is the best. He listens to what you want, takes time to make sure it is right and doesn't pressure you into anything you don't want. He is fab with color and cuts and is even good with men's hair too. I've had manicures and pedicures at Lewis' that have been really good too. And I can't forget to mention the excellent brow waxing - they take their time to make sure it is done right. They are in a great location without being overly "Shady Side".

Pros: Experienced professionals

Cons: The space itself isn't anything special, but it is clean and cozy

I highly recommend manicures or pedicures with Hope. She is the best in the city, in my opinion. I also highly recommend the eye brow services. I am not as enthusiastic about the hair services.
