I went to Capristo's for the first time today and wasn't sure what to expect. I was looking for a trendy haircut and something that stood out. I have very fine-thin hair and have always had a hard time achieving the styles that I want. I met Shayla and she was first off an absolute sweetheart. Personality as big as the world! She took her time and did exactly what I asked for! I have already recomended her to a couple of my friends. If your looking for someone who knows what they are doing, go see Shayla! She worked her magic and made me look exactly how I wanted! Thanks, Shayla! : - )

Pros: Easy to get an appointment, Friendly Staff, Nice location

Cons: parking is on street

She is absolutely fabulous! I recently got 9 inches cut off and some new highlights and was 100% pleased with what Breanne did. She is so trendy and did exactly what I wanted...to the tee! Highlights were superb...everyone loves my hair and wants my stylist's number! I definitely recommend going to Breanne for any hair needs! Price is resasonable too...she takes her time and cares about her clients!

Pros: Great location, friendly, personable, never a problem to get an appointment

I moved to Pittsburgh almost a year ago and was in search of a new hair stylist. A friend of mine recommended Kim at Capristo's and said she was amazing at what she does. My friend did not let me down. Kim highlights and cuts my hair and I have never had my color looking so great. Since I have been going to Kim my hair also feels healthier. I would highly recommend Kim to anyone. She is not only great at what she does but she is a very sweet person and easy to talk with.

I just came back from seeing Dana at her new location. Dana has been doing my hair for over a year and I am so glad I found her. One of my friends (whose hair I was always envious of) recommended her. I was so unhappy with my color before I saw her. I am blonde and it didn't look natural. I was never completely happy even though I was paying a fortune at one the "top" salons in Pittsburgh. Dana transformed my hair--She gave me what I ASKED FOR....now I have the color I was born with!!! I get so many compliments and I tell them all to see Dana so they can look awesome too!! Not only will you LOVE your look when you are done, you will enjoy the process of getting there. She has a great, enthusiatic, personality and it will make it go by so fast! She has shown me how to style my hair and showed me how to do those cute styles you always see in magazines, so I can put my hair up when I am in a rush to go to work or meet friends. Thank you Dana! Can't wait to see you next time!

I have been going to Kim for the past two years for highlights and hair styling, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I have gone to more expensive salons for color and styling in larger cities, but have never had a better cut or color than I have now, at half the price! Kim is an expert with color, and changes highlights and lowlights with the season, so that the color looks completely natural. Her cuts are also excellent, and she is able to layer my fine hair so that I can wear it long, which I have never been able to do before without it looking stringy. I plan to keep going back to Kim and Capristo's for a long time!

Pros: The services provided by the salon are excellent, and professional

Cons: The salon can be crowded, the front desk staff unable to handle the volume of clients

I just visited Caprtisto's salon for the first time. I consider myself to be picky, but I was pleased. I had 3 services done. I had my eyebrows shaped, a manicure and some color. I was really pleased with everything!! My mani lasted longer than a week!!!! The whole staff was warm and welcoming and I felt like family even though it was my first time. Everyone who works there is having a good time and they LOVE what they do and it shows! Keep up the good job guys!!!

Pros: Staff, manicures, & efficiency

Cons: under renovation right now

I have been a client of Dana's for quite a few years. I would follow her anywhere. When I heard she had moved to Capristo's, I was excited to check it out. I had never been there but i have heard a lot of buzz that the place was changing. When I arrived the salon was bustling. It was nice to see that since the place she was at before was like a ghost town. Everyone said hello to me. All the staff was very gracious and courteous. /this means a lot to me. As always, we chatted and laughed like school girls. I feel so comfortable with Dana and she always knows what to do and keeps me up on the latest trends. I always get complements on my hair and always tell people that Dana is the best in Pittsburgh. There are many seasoned stylists in the city, but Dana has a fresh, modern approach to hair. This is what many people are searching for but find hard to achieve. Well, Dana is just the answer. If you want your hair to look great and want someone hip and extremely talented, go to Dana. And I believe Capristo's will be the place to be since they are going through many changes and want to be state of the art. And there is not an overwhelming plasma t.v blaring in your face while you are trying to keep up to date with fashion magazines. So, here's to Dana and her future at Capristo's. Best of Luck!!!

I recently moved to the area from Boston and i work as a buyer at EB Pepper on Walnut St. When i told the girls i needed a new haircut to go with my new job, they both said the same name Dana @ Capristos. I got the number at Capristos and made the call. I was able to get an appointment that day b/c she works long hours. ( which is what you want when your ready to cut your hair right!) I walked into a busy salon and sat down in her chair. Not only did she read me like a book but she made me feel like we had known each other for years. Then after a GREAT shampoo she started her cutting. I never felt vulnerable or scared once, and i was loosing at least 7 inches! The results were amazing i am soooo happy. I have never felt or looked better and my boyfriend and co-workers agree. Thanks again Dana You're the best and ill see you soon for color!!

Capristo Salon is a wonderful and classy salon. Kim, a young, fun hair stylist, has done my haircut, highlights, and layers for about five years, and has never ever done me wrong. I highly recommend her: I am particular about my hair, but she consistently delivers amazing hair each time. She always knows what to do, even if I am not sure what I want. Definitely ask for her! -LG

Charismatic, personable, and talented is a small selection of the positive adjectives used in relation to Capristo's fantastic stylist, Breanne. When my stylist left the salon, I went through a few different people, but the day I sat down with her, I knew that I was going to stick with her for a while. It's been a year now, and she has continued to please me with her cuts and styles, time and time again. Sitting down with her is like sitting down with one of your friends, she avoids the awkwardness of not knowing you by showing the depth of her social self, bringing nothing but laughs and smiles as she effortlessly works her experience on hair with you. She listens, and she talks throughout the entire appointment, to make sure you leave, fully content in your rockin' style. Ask for her, you will not regret it!!!
