Met Vet has taken care of my pooches for about 8 years. I have been very happy with the care that we received. Both of my dogs have had successful surgeries at Met Vet, one almost rtearing of his paw in a sliding glass door and having it retttached without incident and the other having acl surgery. Both have recovered and gained almost 100% mobility.
Pros: Very Resaonable prices, quick care, competent
Cons: None glaring

On February 21st I took my chinchilla to see Dr. William Hough because of a respiratory infection. Dr. Hough looked him over and told me that I need to give my chinchilla eye drops and an antibiotic to clear things up. Dr. Hough prescribed Clavamox (antibiotic) and Neocidin (eye drops) and I gave them to my chinchilla as instructed. After we went through our 10 day regimen I noticed my chinchilla wasn’t eating or drinking, so I took him to another vet who told me that chinchillas should never be given amoxicillin based antibiotics because it destroys their digestive tracts which could be deadly. This new vet also took x-rays of my chinchilla’s skull and showed me that the roots of his teeth are growing into his eye socket – which may be what caused the runny eyes in the first place. So, Dr. Hough made two big mistakes – giving me Clavamox and telling me that my chinchilla’s teeth looked good. I stopped by the Met Vet South office on March 14th to talk to someone and tell them I wanted my money back for the office visit because I didn’t feel it was right for me to pay money for services that were very harmful to my chinchilla. Later that evening, someone from Met Vet called me to tell me that the office manager had to go out of town and would call me when she got back to settle the situation. On March 26th she called and left a message telling me she would have an answer for me in two days. When she never called back, I started to call her. On April 10th I was told I would be called with an answer in 24 hours, but once again she never called me back. Not only it is unprofessional to disregard a customer’s complaint the way they have, it is also unprofessional for Dr. Hough to claim he knowledgeable about chinchilla care when he obviously is not.

Absolutely the best verterinary care I have seen in years. I took my two cats, both of which needed a check-up and one of which has a serious eye problem, and I was treated promptly with expert care and stellar customer service. Some people might say it's more expensive, but, this being a concern to me, I checked quite a few other veterinary clinics and found that Met Vet was about the same price as all of them and in some cases even less expensive. The facility (I went to Met Vet West) was modern and comforting and completely professional--I felt cared for and entirely trusting of the services the whole time I was there! A great experience, I wouldn't recomend any other veterinary service!!!
Pros: Wonderful customer service and expert care
Cons: More expensive, but only in one or two cases--but worth it

One of the best clinics I have ever been to. Great staff! 100% satisfied. May be slightly higher in price but more than worth it. Able to be seen for emergency for my bird on holiday. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!!!
Pros: Staff, Knowledge, Compassion
