Phone Order: Repeat what you want at least twice.

It may taste good, but is it what you ordered?
They will not sell a cheesecake without ordering ahead of time and maybe not even then. I ordered one and got a regular birthday cake. Good, but not what I ordered. Will try Cosco for a regular decorated cheese cake. There's are great!

We have ordered all of our party treats from Paddy Cake for many years now and love it. The cakes are out of this world great and the petit fours are absolutely to die for. My daughter adores the white petit fours and could not have a party without them. Thank you for being so awesome!
- Pros: Cakes cannot be beat
- Cons: Parking
Nearly ruined birthday---not their problem

As someone born within a mile of this bakery, I regret having to write this review. For years since the other classic Bloomfield bakeries gradually disappeared, it was heartrning to continue to see Paddy Cake on Liberty Avenue. We began going there for holiday needs, as well as all birthdays and other family events.
Sadly, the last time that we used Paddy Cake for the birthday of a young daughter turning six who needed a cake for the party at home, plus cupcakes for the celebration in kindergarten around the corner at Immaculate Conception School, someone took the order and changed the spelling of her name (carefully given at the time of placing the order) for the cake without even trying to get in touch with us.
At pickup, I was shocked to see my daughter's name misspelled and nearly asked for a refund since no one was willing to accept any responsibility for the deliberate error, nor offer any sort of a discount. Since the party was only a hour or so away, I had little choice but to accept the cake and hope that my daughter---who knows only to well how to write her name---might not notice in the excitement. Mercifully, we managed to distract her through the candles and signing, quickly cutting the cake right through her name before she became any the wiser.
Having grown up in Bloomfield, it pains me to say this, but Paddy Cake has become nothing more than a cash cow for the nonchalant owners, while the staff seems to have grown largely indifferent to customers. After years as faithful customers, we now make the extra effort to go to Prantl's in Shadyside, with excellent personal service. It's worth the trip.
Best Bakery EVER!

Growing up in Bloomfield, Paddy Cake Bakery was always one of my favorite places to stop. Even after moving to the North Hills, I still continued to venture to Paddy Cake for their wide selection of delectable desserts. Everything in the store is always FRESH and their customer service is outstanding!! When it finally came time to order my wedding cake, it was the only bakery I would consider. They promptly set up an appointment with me where I sampled all kinds of yummy fillings. The manger was was such a pleasure to work with; she took time to go through all of the details and helped to incorporate my own ideas. When the cake arrived on my wedding day it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. All of my guests raved about how moist and tasty the cake was!!!
- Pros: Great prices and always fresh!
- Cons: NONE
I love there regular icing.

I always make it a point to stop here whenever I have a sweet tooth. I can't get enough of the cupcakes!!!
- Pros: It is great for orders at the last minute as long as you give them about a two day notice.
- Cons: The parking is not that great.
