The view at Sognatore is beatiful from the 10th (or so) story of the Pennsylvanian. I went for my trial run for my wedding do a month before the big day armed with a picture of how I wanted my hair based on a test run done by my salon in the city where I live (not Pittsburgh). The guy did not listen to me at all and created some over-the-top Pittsburgh do with tons of hairspray. I got him to agree that on the wedding day, he would use way less spray and make the bun looser and lower to be more natural. I paid my $85 + ~$35 for "test makeup" and then I booked hair and make-up for 5 other people on the day of the wedding. Thankfully, I also had mom take a picture of the hairdo. On the day of the wedding, I sat down in the chair and about 45 mins later was shown a strange version of a plastered Jackie-O french twist or something....it was nothing like the test run style and nothing like what I had requested. I was shooed away to get my make up done and while that was happening, I was told that if I wanted my hair fixed the way I wanted it, I would have to pay another $85 for another appointment! I was spending about $1,000 that day at the salon and I was the bride, and I had already spent $85 for a trial run that was apparently worthless. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had and it was happening right before I was getting married. The guy eventually tried to fix it but my hair was already plastered with too much hairspray and he was acting like I was being completely irrational just because I didn't like his artistic vision. I showed him the pictures of what he did before and what my other salon had done and crabbily pulled my hair back in a hair band and stuck some pins in it. I will add that the makeup girl was great, very nice and did a great job. But the stylists/management did make any effort to be nice to me and it was way too much money for what I got. I'd try somewhere else if I ever needed a do in the 'burgh.
Pros: View
Cons: Poor listening skills, poor service skills
