Best for beer and music
by New2Pittsburgh
Very popular local music venue. Nice Irish/American Pub atmosphere. Friendly service. Food is generally pretty ordinary.
Great fun

This pub is fantastic. The people are so friendly and the owner Ann would do just about anything for her patrons. I've been to weddings there, party's, and just out for a Saturday night. Great food. Great service. Fantastic selection of drinks. Good music and Ceili dancing every Tuesday.
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: A little commericialized
Great for casual family get togethers

My family loves this place. My hubby and I went there when we were dating and we had our wedding luncheon there (very informal wedding). We've gone there for birthdays too. The food is always excellent and the restaurant itself is great with wonderful staff and casual surroundings. They serve traditional Irish foods but there's something for everyone and the fried pickles are excellent.
Live Irish music, frothy pints and a rowdy atmosphere transport patrons to the Emerald Isle.

In Short
Mullaney's small raised stage often hosts live bands--like Red Hand Paddy and Celtic Clan--strumming out classic Irish ballads, rebel anthems, sing-alongs and related contemporary ditties. Better yet, there's plenty of room to dance. As in any good pub, Irish or otherwise, the menu is hearty: lamb stew, shepherd's pie, and the obligatory fish and chips.
