I had been told by so many people to goto Mineos, so I did. I read a review of Mineos and saw someone said to stop by Aiello's too, so I did. Glad I did. Aiello's is a sad looking sterile pizzeria. Almost seems like a lunchroom or commisary of some sort. The pizza is ok, nothing to write home about. The sauce is close to very good. The cheese slides right off with your first bite and that just shouldn't happen. Better than Mineo's, but that is just not saying much. Pittsburgh pizza just can't hold a candle to the better pizza in the country. I'm from NYC and am biased, but can name 5-10 cities which have better pizza than Mineo's and Aiello's two of Pittsburgh's supposed finest.

Pros: better than Mineo's

I mean the only thing to say is that the sauce is the best pizza sauce I have ever had. I have eaten pizza all over the world, and I still would choose aiellos over any of them. I have also been to Pizzaria Bianco in Arizona, which is very famous, and I must say that I like aiellos better. I have been going there for 10 years now, and will never stop. It's vey different from vincent's, but I still prefer it because it is not as heavy and the sauce is better.

Pros: The sauce is amazing

Cons: none

Listen, if anyone on planet earth knows good Pizza, it's yours truly. In my line of work I've been to italy several times where some of the best Pizza on the planet is to be had. Aiellos compares to some of the best Pizza Italy has to offer. Made the same way! Been going to Aiello's since he started the business over 25 yrs ago. The owner is the same guy who was the main Pizza maker at Mineos when they were known as the best in town! Rick L.. Ps: Those that think Mineo's is better, needs their Taste Buds Tested. Not even close!

Pros: Crust, Sauce, Overall Ingredients

Cons: If you like Great Pizza, there is No Cons
