Great stuff in a shabby space

This place is packed to the rafters with vintage clothing. Next to CMU, it caters to a college taste. Nice selection of jewelry. The space is in need of some renovation and the back room actually has plaster falling from the walls and ceiling.

• Pros: Close to colleges
• Cons: Crowded, Small, Very little parking

The Scene
One story, two rooms. The front is divided into pants and dresses on the left, shirts and dresses on the right. In the back you'll find coats and shoes, along with a makeshift dressing room. On nice days a sampling of clothes is hung on the outside fence. Spot something you like and dart into the next available parking spot.

The Goods
Situated between Pitt and CMU, Crimes of Fashion gets its fare share of indie-alterna-hip college kids, older scenesters and vintage clothing fanatics are regulars, too. If you've found the perfect article of clothing but don't currently have the cash, the racks at Crimes of Fashion are so tightly packed that it's easy to hide something while you make a run to the ATM.
