GREAT Dancing
by blazen
The Pittsburgh ERagle has come ALONG way over the years.....It has always been a hidden gem, and thanks to a flood at Pegasus a few years back, many others got to experience the eagle, and realized it had more to offer. On a bad note, they are a lil rude kicking you out at the end of the nite.....there r nicer ways to go about it.
- Pros: DJ John, Sound & Light, HOT GUYS of all ages
- Cons: DARK, bad part of town, non aprreciative staf

The Scene
At night the building is most impressive: four brick stories stretching toward a bridge high above. Inside, the Pittsburgh Eagle is even better: A pressed tin ceiling, 14-feet high, covers a spacious bar where the crowd mingles. The pace picks up on the second floor ("the sweat box") where the beat and the heat hit you immediately. Unwind on the third floor, which features a lounge, computer room and couches surrounding a huge TV showing dance videos. Keep going up to the fourth floor--the show bar--where drag queens and porn stars work the crowd on weekends.
Who's There
A diverse gay crowd of all ages and some (mostly straight) women; this is not the serious, hard-core Levi-and-leather scene you'll find in larger cities.
The Music
On weekends, the dance floor is packed to the beat of Hi-NRG music from years past.
