I've lived in numerous cities and countries and have never been completely happy with a stylist until I found Jen at Hair By Damian. She was recommended to me by friends who swore they would never go to anyone else and they were right, she is the best. She does amazing work whether its a new style, simple trim, color, high / low lights ...I wouldn't think about going to anyone else ever again.
Pros: Great staff, very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Cons: Street parking, although I've never had a problem finding a space right out front.

unfortunetly you wouldnt know that your money is appreciated at Hair By Damian in shadyside because not only was i snubbed by a man they say is the "manager" Tim but my haircut was below average and it felt like a circus in there. Not to mention the owner never bothered to say hello to me and i was seated right next to him for more than an hour. You never have a second time to make a first impression and they defintely took that for granted because i will never step inside there again. To me there are PLENTY of other salons in shadyside to choose from...
Pros: nice receptionist and assistants
Cons: other staff and service
