Called Duke's at the suggestion of a friend last night at about 4:15pm to ask about replacing a flat tire on my car. They unfortunately didn't have a used tire in the size i needed, but did have a new one for $60 total, including labor, balancing and mounting. I got there at 8:30 this morning as soon as they opened and was done and on my way in about 15 minutes. They take credit card. The place looks like a typical local garage, but if you're looking for good service, quick, at a fair price and not the Taj Mahal, then get your next car tire at duke's. they gave me a "goodride" brand tire. not sure what other brands they stock. Things to know before calling: 1. tire size: usually something like P175/70 R14 2. if you want a specific type of tire like a snow tire (I didn't specify and got a normal looking all-season tire) 3. a few times when you will be available to stop by and how long you are willing to wait. 4. Whether you want a used or a new tire (they may only have one or the other, but they had what i needed in this case, new) If you are not replacing all 4 tires, then think about how the new one will work/match with your current set. Might want to replace them in pairs if your current ones are a bit worn.
Pros: fast, not bastards to talk to, cheap
Cons: parking is at a premium, go here if you just need a decent tire on your car not if you want something fancy
