My 6 year old son and 9 year old daughter signed up for Mr. Czerniak's Summer Karate Program nearly a year ago. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me as a mother but more importantly for my children. They both love to go to class and have learned so much in one year's time. While learning the art of Tae Kwon Do they are also learning the importance of discipline and respect. The greatest transformation that I have seen in my children is their confidence. They are learning to be confindent and their self esteem grows with every belt they earn. My 6 year old son was diagnosed with PDD/NOS (mild Autism) when he was 3. When he started the program I wasn't sure if it would be his "thing". Today I am absolutely amazed at his progress. Both my son and daughter have received medals at tounaments and are now yellow belts. The skills that Mr. Czerniak has instilled in my children will last them a lifetime. I am so thankful to have my children a part of this extraordinary program.

Dynamic Martial arts provides excellent instruction with a focus on technique and discipline. Master Czerniak has a very patient and calm demeanor when teaching, especially with the younger children. He is equally adept at working with energetic boys. Master Czerniak and his staff thoroughly prepare their students prior to promotions, which is evident when they compete. This is a wonderful school whose owner is genuinely concerned about his students and their families.

Two years ago my daughter Jasmine starting training under Master Czerniak and his assistant Master Kuehn; she has worked hard and is now very proud to have her 5th Gup (blue belt). She has learned discipline, self control and respect. Master Czerniak is more than an instructor; he is a positive example that discipline and determination is the only way to achieve self gratification. His classes are never too serious, he is a big kid at heart and his sparkling personality can always turn any frown upside down. Not only has Taekwondo taught my daughter valuable life long lessons but it is a great way to keep her active. Recently after my inner child recalled how much I wanted to study martial arts and it dawned on me that it is never to late. I too started training under Master Czerniak and Master Kuehn. I have never felt better mentally or physically. Training alongside my daughter is something the two of us will always remember. Now she teaches me outside of class. Knowing that with her knowledge she can be a worthy example to me gives her a great sense of accomplishment. We both owe that to Master Czerniak and Master Kuehn.

My son trained here until he left for college. Paul Czerniak is the owner of this school, and he is a warm, caring individual. But don't get me wrong -- he is tough when he needs to be! Your child will get a real education here -- he does not give out belts just because a certain amount of time has passed. The school not only teaches traditional Tae Kwon Do, but they also show the kids very practical self-defense techniques. They also offer a program called The Steal Proof Master, where they teach kids specifics on how not to be a target for abduction or other bad things. This school also has outside events, like Halloween costume parties, bowling parties, etc. that gives the parents the opportunity to know each other better. I also believe it is the only family run school in the area. I would travel many miles to go to this school over any other.

Pros: Great teacher, smaller class size, family atmosphere, 11 year history

Cons: Smaller size facility, parking is on street, maybe off the beaten path for some, but worth the drive
