Yum.

Love the food. Love the off-beat soda selections. Love the new location. :)
You have to take the time to get to know Mitch. He's not from around here, he's a very busy man, and his sandwiches are his babies. He doesn't always have time to hold your hand when you go there to eat. The man very nearly catches the tuna himself every day.
Speaking of which, try the tuna if you can. It sells out like a Steeler game. When it's gone I get a chicken parm. Yummy. :D
- Pros: Everything is fresh and delicious.
- Cons: Get it fast. When the bread's gone they're closed.
local secrets

I've been eating at this place since it opened, and I strongly recommend you check out their deli, featuring giant pickles and fantastic homemade macaroni salad, and the under-appreciated steak and chicken salads, which are topped with roasted redskin potatoes (yum!). This place isn't just great sandwiches.
- Pros: Huge, inexpensive, tasty ssandwiches.
- Cons: No delivery.

the place is new and improved....so it's been given a second chance....
just like life....giving the "new and improved a second chance"
it's also a great place to get engaged......again! ;)
- Pros: worth the trip......DEFINITELY! (think "road trip" and that "someone special")
There is something to be said for being the best in one's field, no matter how small the field.

The Skinny
Finding an area of expertise, and becoming the expert, must be gratifying. Such is the life of Mitch Green, who is the area's maven of the authentic Philadelphia cheese steak. Green moved here a number of years ago, but he has maintained his Philly accent and attitude. Philadelphia expatriates have been known to drive an hour from the Eastern suburbs when their hometown cravings get out of control.
The Food
Green is clearly obsessed. He shopped around at bakeries for months until he found an acceptable roll, which is chewy yet delicate. There is plenty of thinly sliced beef, grilled with cheese and topped with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. Hot or sweet peppers are options, if desired. There are also chicken and cheese sandwiches, which are also big sellers.
