Good movie but OK to wait for video. Robert Redford showcases his Acting, his Directing and HIS political beliefs. Is this a story of a waste of life? A story of commitment to what you believe? A story of the degradation of what the political machine is doing? Take a look and see what you think... Tom Cruise, Glenn Close, Robert Redford and the 3 major young actors were excellent! I really enjoyed this movie but I would like to see what others think and see what they get out of it!

I had high hopes for this movie. I started to get worried when a friend and myself were the only ones in the movie theater to see it, this is a large theater too on a friday night! So it was suppose to start at 9:30pm and because there was nobody there, i guess they waited. So the movie started just after 10pm and we sat with another few couples which i thought was strange for a newer movie. My friend rang her husband and he said the reviews are pretty bad for it. Well i know why! Because this was the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life!! We ended up walking out on the movie half way through. It was starting to hurt my head on how much they feel the American people and the rest of the world are so dumb. That was complete torture!! I ended up leaving the movie half way through upset, i cannot believe that someone put money into this. I have now made the vow to never watch another film by Tom Cruise! I would warn anyone out there, do not go to this movie, i wasted 20 dollars for a picture i couldn't even sit the whole way through. Very very troubling movie...

Cons: Boring, pure propergander, stupid, troubling

I came with such high hopes, but they were dashed as I sat there in stupefecation, as the whiny drone of Robert Redford's voice drove me to distraction. It's as if a thousand gnats were using the eardrum as a trampoline, and twice as annoying. Youi've got the stereotypes from all the bad organizations in our society. The leftist professor who goes on about how bad the federal govt is (at least those in the gov right now), how there are so many conspiracies that you can't keep them straight. Then you've got that worn out old shoe, the journalist who is played by an incredible actress, but must've been promised something really good to get into a character this bad. Or is that just shallow and predictable? Long and Short of it is that you might as well just forget the popcorn, bring your IPOD and come up with your own dialogue, because a couple of hours of listening to devious people fling arrows and knives in the back of those who can't respond, well, it gets old mighty fast. Play a Norah cd and mellow out, instead.
Pros: Not much
Cons: The list would go on, and on, and on...
