This movie started off in a none-too-convincing way with a horrible cartoon-likness to Disney's Cinderella. It got better, though, transitioning into modern-day New York City, in a sheer mochary of a typical Disney animated movies - it was hilarious and sweet all mixed into one movie. I went to see it with my boyfriend, and the horrible movie cynics we are, actually enjoyed it. The time we went, apparently was a senior citizen outing, and I even heard remarks that they enjoyed it. Ultiamtely, it offers something for little kids, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens alike. That's hard to come by these days. So all in all, if you have the slightest weakness for fairytales, this movie is a must-see.

Pros: This movie was good for all ages.

Cons: You just wish you could have reached into the screen and made him kiss the girl: "Kiss her, kiss her!"

Great family picture. My husband and I have seen it twice with our kids and grandchild and love it!. Would see it again and again. Can't wait to buy it on DVD. I highly recommend seeing it no matter what age you are. We saw all ages in the audience. Highly recommend this picture.

I walked into the theater without a clue about the movie I was about to watch. I was horrified to find it was a cartoon, ripping off Shrek to boot! And I commented to my husband that Giselle looked exactly like Ariel from Little Mermaid. I was worried at that point.... Thankfully the movie went uphill from there and it was an enjoyable romp. The transition from animation to live action and a few twists along the way were really fun to watch. Sure, this wasn't a complex, fast-moving movie for adults but in the end I was satisfied that it was good for adults as well as for kids. You can't say that about most of what Hollywood spews out nowadays. With the exceptio of the ogre, I mean troll, scene, there was no extra gross stuff for the kids. Casting and acting were on the mark and it really was an enjoyable movie that didn't follow the standard formula. It's nice to have a feel good movie in a time when badder-and-racier-is-better. No cussing, no adult situations, no twisted gimmicks. Pure good and pure evil were mixed with plenty of fun. The audience was a good mix of adults and kids. I saw families, I saw couples, I saw single people (at a 7:50pm show). And I heard laughter from all.

Pros: Good Clean Fun

Great movie! Enchanted works on a sophisticated level I wasn't expecting from the modern and largely by-the-numbers Disney of today. By mocking their own, venerable formula of animated tales, Disney has produced a well made movie that celebrates the genre as much as it toys with it's own animated history (e.g. character stereotypes, silly songs, dastardly villains, etc.) Amy Adams (Charmed, Buffy, Smallville) is fantastic as the would-be princess who wistfully finds herself caught up in a real life fantasy and the comedy that exudes the situation will be likely laughed with by the entire family.

Pros: Disney done right

Cons: Not for everyone
