Rudeness Prevails!
by Billy1976
I highly reccomend NOT going to Crazy Mocha - especially Bloomfield. This place is haunted with liberal snobs who have the hearts of selfish pigs. With that said, my expierence was this; after completing my order and removing my cardboard container cup to the stationary table, the cup collapsed in my hands. Hot steaming latte poured out all over my hands, shoes and the floor. The pain was horrendous. The only reaction i got was from the server, who whisked by and mopped up the floor quickly - and poorly, was not pleasant. Even though half my drink poured out on me and the floor, she never bothered to replace the drink or offer any support. Also, i looked around to see if any of the hot liquid had touched any one else in the crowded room. I was astonished to see the look in people's eyes as they stared at me disapprovingly and like I was a disease. Not evan a "R U okay?" arose from the people who were unscathed by my delima and by my trembling, scolding hands. (If I was a liberal - like i assume the clientel is there - i would have immdiately thought 'lawsuite')
Needless to say, i finished the 1/2 of the Latte i had left and decided against getting any cookies or movies - the original purpose of going there in the first place. With my swollen and sore hands and my pride burnt by the rude enviroment, i left there disappointed. Disappointed in Crazy Mocha and disapointed in the rudeness of people.
I can not help but wonder what i did to provoke such harsh stares from everyone in that place except when a friend had advised me that i was dressed "casually and like a normal person" . Eh. if i ever go back (really - never) i will note to myself to dress like greasy college professor or join the cliche of piercing and tattoos.
- Pros: Great Coffee
- Cons: Rude, Arrogant,
Whether you pop in for an espresso shot or linger with a pot of coffee, this cafe gets you a jolt for less money (and less pretense).

In Short
While not as sleek as Starbucks, Crazy Mocha's vibrant decor, affordable prices and to-die-for desserts will keep you coming back. Even on cloudy days, the light pouring in from the floor-to-ceiling windows makes Crazy Mocha an ideal place to read or work on your laptop. (The coffeeshop has a wireless internet connection.) Chose from a wide variety of brewed coffees and exotic teas or--if you're feelin' a little mocha loca--order a specialty drink.
