I've been going to Blue for a long time. The food is delicious, the martinis are smooth and easy to drink, capuchinotini is my favorite! It's a very fun and relaxed atmosphere, the staff is friendly and very accomodating, and I always feel very safe there. Kim and Susan (bartenders) make awesome drinks, and are a lot of fun. I highly recommend Blue.

Pros: fun, fun, fun!

I found an old article about this place and it was titled "Diamond in the Ruff". My wife and I decided to give it a try last night. The food was excellent, the wine selection was great, and the atmosphere was hip. The prices are a little high, but I don't mind because everything was good. Bravo!

Pros: Food and Wine

Cons: Prices and Noise

I frequent Blue for their extensive Martini List and Kim is the best bartender in Pittsburgh. They also have Live Jazz which is hard to find in the North Hills.

Pros: Martinis, Appetizers

Cons: Location( They're hidden in the back on a shopping plaza)

We enjoyed our experience at Blue. We frequent fine dining restaurants and found Blue to be a pleasant experience with entrees and appetizers from $2-$5 less than the same plate at other restaurants. The seared duck was simple but delicious. Our dinner for 2 without alcohol was $64.74. Our last dinner at Outback Steak House was over $80 and frozen 30 minutes prior to eating. If your looking for a great place to eat a great meal and not have to pay down town prices, Blue is more affordable and closer to home.

Pros: Prices, location, parking, menu

Cons: Seating

Blue -- keep driving. Although the food is good -- way over priced for a neighborhood bar. Bar/dining seating too close together -- bar crowd loud. Yea, I paid $200 for dinner for 4 and have the locals at the bar laughing loudly right next to our table. Then be upcharged for no ice + allegheny county drink tax = why did we do this? Bartender/servers not knowledgeable on vodka -- just buy the martinis they have created. This venue needs to decide what they want to be -- a destination location or a local bar. Would I try this again -- NO.

Pros: Free Parking (your in a shopping plaza!)

Cons: You can go to Shop'n Save after dinner...

Blue is an amazing restaurant that is close to home with an atomsphere in which no others compare. The service was impeccable and the food is out of this world, particularly the Chilean Sea Bass. With a bar menu containing over 30 martini's, draft beers and a variety of wines, everyone in our party found just what they were looking for. We cannot wait to go back again and again!

I was there on a Tuesday, when the female entertainment added to the ambience of the restaurant. The food was excellent and the atmosphere, romantc. I thought the entrees were a bit pricey, having eaten at similar restaurants in New York, and Chicago. I WOULD return on Tuesdays, for sure. I think our service was excellent, but my friend knew the owner, so I can't say what others have found. I miight go there myself and see if I get the same upbeat greeting, and good service. What a delight tofind a restaurant of this quality in Allison Park! THe Brushette was the best I have ever had! Kudos to the chef!

Pros: Great parking, perfect lighting, good food and martinis

Cons: too pricey

Great menu, service is not always very good, drinks are overpriced, some good jazz music there depending on who is playing. Have heard Antoinette and Maureen Budway here, both excellent and two of Pittsburgh's best jazz vocalists in an intimate setting. Nice to find this in the suburbs.

I love the food here. A bit on the pricey side, but wonderful. I'd suggest making a reservation for "Diva Tuesday's" an evening where professional female jazz singers come to entertain. the music is often hypnotic and adds to the overall romantic nature of the restaurant. It is a wonderful place and the food is amazing! (Try the scallops or the lobster!)

Pros: Setting, people

Cons: Price, Parking
