Nice Massage
by FG1945
I had a very nice massage by a young lady at this spa. She said she was new there , but had experience in many spa's in Florida, and I wasn't disappointed. The only reason I didn't give my experience 5 stars was I was a little taken aback when she told me she also makes house calls and she could come to my house if I ever needed her to. This made me feel uncomfortable, but overall I really enjoyed my experience.
Eva vs Eva
by acitygal
The service was ok, definitely not worth the cost. The girl at the front desk was frustrating and the gentleman there, not sure who he was, was trite to say the least. I found that I can get a better service at Eva Szabo in E. Shady Side. I had gift cards for both places and know now that for future services my money will be well spent at Eva Szabo.
- Pros: none that i could find
- Cons: save your money
eva does the best brow wax
by nicosh
Eva does the best brow wax. I really would like to find a place closer to me, but she is worth it.
- Pros: beautiful salon, friendly staff
- Cons: far drive for me
A "green spa" that doesn't recycle???
by goodgirl22
I was there for a service and had a bottle of water with me as I was just coming from the gym. I was looking for a garbage can when one of the staff members offered to throw the bottle away for me. I was shocked to say the least when she just dumped the bottle into the little white can next to the manicure desk. When I asked if they recycled the girl answered that they don't have a recycle bin!!! How is THAT green????
- Pros: Good services
- Cons: They are fake green spa
Response from this business

Dear goodgirl22,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please note that we do have a very effective and well thought out sustainability plan that we always try to follow at ESSpa Kozmetika. That being said, it is obvious that we "dropped the ball" in this particular instance and we will have to redouble our efforts to ensure that all team members are aware of our environmental policies and protocols. Thank you again for sharing your experience and please let me know if there is anything else that I should know about.
Sincerely,
Eva Kerschbaumer -

A perfect day
by lkronen1
My grandmother, daughter and I enjoyed the Three Generation Spa Package yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you to the entire staff for giving us the most wonderful day ! It meant so much to us. We rarely get together to just to enjoy each other and that's exactly what we did on Sunday. All the services that the three of us had were great (especially the facial and massage) and the lunch was perfect.
We weren't even in the car before we started to plan our next visit. We will be back soon.
- Pros: professional and inviting
- Cons: none that we could see
Mixed Feelings
by lmg50
I have had a 4-5 treatments at Esspa. My first treatment was a gift, a facial and a massage. When I booked the appointment, I asked how long the two would take and explained that a had a commitment later in the day. Just my luck, someone was delayed and I had to get only 1 treatment and reschedule the 2nd. They gave me 10% off my 2nd treatment. I'm not sure that was adequate but I dealt with it. In hindsight, 10% off didn't compensate for the inconvenience.
I have also experienced some questionable customer service from the middle aged blonde receptionist. She has a bit of a snobby feel to her- I always thought maybe it was because I always book the Eva Saver specials! Regardless, every customer should be treated with the utmost respect no matter how much their service costs.
In the end, I continue to book the Eva Saver's because they are such a great deal and the services that I have had are amazing (mainly facials). Heather is especially welcoming.
One more comment, I had never used a male masseuse before going to Esspa. I must say that I left feeling a little uncomfortable and will ask not to be with the male from now on. He was good, I was just uncomfortable. Just something to think about if you are looking to book a massage!
- Pros: Great Services
- Cons: Mediocre Service
A wonderful first experience
by debbz1
Hello,
I just have to tell you how wonderful my facial was. My skin feels so much better, it was really thirsty. Heather was so nice, did a terriffic job, and really made it a comfortable relaxing experience. She made my first facial a very special one! I do look forward to treating myself again in the future.
Sincerely - Debbie
- Pros: Comfortable, relaxing, very professional
- Cons: Can't think of any
Terrible Customer service
by Elee2
I purchased an early bird petite pedicure just to start off my day prior to going into work. I thoroughly enjoyed my pedicure and even decided to purhase some skincare products upon recommendation from the spa consultant. The blond lady at the front desk was very aloof and curt when checking me in and out. Upon entering the spa I was told to wait in the waiting room and was not offered a beverage. An older lady (40's)who entered after me was offered tea, coffee, water and the blond lady even served it to her. I am not sure whether it had to do with my age (20's) but this disparity in service was rather obvious. Furthermore, the same blond lady overcharged me for my skincare products at the checkout and I ended up paying $20 more on top of the tip that I left ($30 in total). I had already corrected her once on the discount for the early bird and did not realize being overcharged until afterwards. Although I've already contacted the spa I have not heard back and highly doubt that I will.
Although the services are great I do agree with the other reviews that the front desk staff is TERRIBLY RUDE and unprofessional. I believe that they need further training on customer service/satisfaction as well as the prices for the services and products in order to prevent overcharging customers.
- Pros: Good Services
- Cons: Rude front desk
Spectacular!!
by whiteam1856
I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had at Esspa. The spa and its employees are elegant in presentation. The second I walked thru the door I knew I was about to be transported to pamper-land. I was scheduled with Eva for a facial. I was so looking forward to a little relaxing and I absolutely got more than I expected. I have had facials before but this was the best one ever. The room was so inviting. The facial chair, if you can call it a chair, more like a flufy marshmallow to relax in, was heated and the blankets more plush than anything I have ever seen. There was even a ribbon draped over the cover!! Eva attended to me as though I were a queen. In every other facial I have had there is a time when the facialist leaves while the masque is on. Not Eva, she massaged my arms and hands and feet. I think at one point I actually started to fall asleep. I felt as though a life long friend was taking special care of me and Eva made me feel as though I was the most important thing to her. Today was my second visit with many more to come. If you are looking for the ultimate pampering experience with an elegant atmosphere you need to try Esspa. When you come, look for me! I'm the one with the big smile on my very happy face!!!
- Pros: Outstanding service and treatments
- Cons: That I eventually had to leave.
