2 years ago I went to this Salon because another hairdresser totally messed up my cut and color . Nancy took me on the spot. She gave me the best color I have ever had and I have gone to the Salaon ever since. The atmoshpere is comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. The prices are very fair and getting an appointment on short notice has never been an issue. I love this salon. Getting my hair done is something I actually enjoy and look forward to. Nancy always makes me smile

Absolutely Awful. We had plans with this woman for manicures / pedicures for my entire wedding party and some relatives. She didn't give us any warning that she simply would not show up on that day. Two days before she stopped answering the phone and put newspaper over the windows, then never came in. DON'T TRUST THIS SALON! The place that ended up squeezing us in was also in Oakmont and said that they get clients from her all the time because she just doesn't come in to work. Don't let plans for your special day be ruined. Trust me.
Cons: Never Showed Up.

Nancy is absolutely wonderful! Most salons just do hair, facials, waxing and etc. Or they just sell you hair products and retail. But, Nancy takes the time to educate you on all the techniques and products so that you can do the same style at home and she educates you on today's fashion. She is personable, educated, and an innovative professional that knows and enjoys her craft. Along with the services she also sells popular handbags and accessories. For holidays, I get all my family and friends gift certificates to Ara Salon & Spa because no matter who I am buying for, I know Ara has a lot of things for a lot of people. Thank You Nancy for everything.
Pros: Service, Products, Staff
Cons: You might have to drive but it is worth every mile.

ARA Salon in Oakmont is highly reccomended. Nancy is great at color and the use of Aveda products is just an added bonus! ARA also has an extensive array of gifts, bags and jewelry for you to browse. Full Salon treatments available as well. Make an appointment now!
Pros: Easy parking, Great price, Relaxed atmosphere
