NotSo-FABULOUS
by marshalltucker17
This used to be a great place to meet up with friends afterwork or on the weekends and now it's disgusting. Too bad, it was once a reliable place to go. It smells. We got sick from the food. The bartenders don't know how to make anything except for a rum and coke. It smells. I don't think the floors have been mopped in over a year, it's really disgusting. Hopefully they'll read this and try to pull it together. But I doubt it, because the clientelle that has started going there is pretty rough so I doubt they'll want to change it.
- Pros: Pretty atmosphere, location
- Cons: it smells
Stylish eatery by day; Euro-sexy meeting place by night.

In Short
A trendy addition to the Strip District scene, this split-level club is where Steel City social climbers mix and mingle in four separate, chic lounges, as well as on the dance floor. Intimate table seating and leather couches on the first floor lead to spacious meet-and-greet areas upstairs featuring wraparound couches lining red-brick walls. During weekends and early evenings, a tiny sushi bar is open for business; sandwiches and salads are also served.
Though still a light-year or two short of those lofty goals, this club offers at least a journey in the right direction.

The Scene
The usual trappings with a touch of space-age flair: velvet ropes, VIP lounge and a balcony with a view of the gyrating activity below. Also, valet parking, waitresses in skimpy attire carrying glowing cocktails and three neon-laced bars. A mix of frat boys, kids in black and spruced-up suburbanites dominate the clientele.
The Skinny
A tentacled "Independence Day"-style alien hovers above the staircase, Roswellian paintings adorn the walls while TVs broadcast "Aeon Flux" cartoons and robot footage. Techno and pop electronica (Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers) blare chest-thumping beats, while lasers and flashing lights add to the buzz on the dance floor. Theme nights rule the week--jazz happy hours, hip-hop Wednesdays and Club Mix Fridays--to generate a healthy crowd of clubgoers.
Classy libations without the "yinz"
by legallybrunette
Don't let the cheezy name fool you. This new P-Burgh bar/club has fabulous apple martinis and a young-professional clientele that doesn't say "yinz". Hey, they even have a VIP room!
- Pros: upscale crowd, great apple martinis, plush decor
- Cons: you're still in Pgh, cheezy name
