A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969.

by Contributor

In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.

Best Around

by jwhcbg

I enjoy eating at these resturants wherever we go. They are not only great breakfast stops but are terrific for dinner. The deserts are delicious and the staff is really great. Other resturants could use their training methods for their respective staffs.

  • Pros: excellant menu, service outstanding, quaklity excelland

Grandma's cookin'

The food at Cracker Barrel brings back memories of my Grandma's kitchen. It is as close to homemade as you can get once Grandma is gone.

  • Pros: fast service, love fireside seating, great aroma
  • Cons: crowded

worth the search

by derryooma

this is a great place. who doesn't love the country store and those rockers! when you eat here, it is generally quite some time before you feel hungry again. the hash brown casserole is a treat and the chicken & dumplins- major yum. they can be difficult to locate from many of the highway ramps, but i always find it worth the search.

  • Pros: good selection, good coffee
  • Cons: should be non-smoking
