the fries are of course a pittsburgh tradition and a quite delicious. the only drawback, is those lines seem real long when you are real hungry.

These are the best, they are worth traveling accross the country for, they are a great addition to the park.
The one excuse for not riding a roller coaster in Kennywood.

The Scene
Pittsburghers know the allure of these french fries from their days of Kennywood school picnics or from dragging their wee people from ride to ride as they look for an oasis to rest. All funnel to the Potato Patch. Newcomers may need direction if the smell doesn't waif your way. Walk toward the screams coming from the Thunderbolt and Phantom's Revenge and look for a line.
The Food
No processed fries here. Potatoes are peeled, sliced and fried on the premises to the tune of about 500 pounds a day. No condiment is left out either. Salt, vinegar, garlic, gravy, cheese, barbecue, ketchup and other spices are available to slather on your one-pound serving of spuds. Kennywood points out the obvious that the fries are the most popular food item in the park, doling out approximately 500,000 servings a year.
- Pros: fresh cut fries
