Breanne Rocks!!!

Charismatic, personable, and talented is a small selection of the positive adjectives used in relation to Capristo's fantastic stylist, Breanne. When my stylist left the salon, I went through a few different people, but the day I sat down with her, I knew that I was going to stick with her for a while. It's been a year now, and she has continued to please me with her cuts and styles, time and time again. Sitting down with her is like sitting down with one of your friends, she avoids the awkwardness of not knowing you by showing the depth of her social self, bringing nothing but laughs and smiles as she effortlessly works her experience on hair with you. She listens, and she talks throughout the entire appointment, to make sure you leave, fully content in your rockin' style. Ask for her, you will not regret it!!! Proceed with Caution

Reading the reviews on citysearch for this salon, I decided to make an appt for a hair cut with one of the stylists with more than one positive review. I want to caution others that I did not receive a good hair cut and went to another place to get it fixed a week later as I felt the salon as well as the stylist weren't worth another gamble. Short layers were cut into the top of my head and not blended in with the bottom so it was like I had two different hair cuts going on at once and the stylist next to mine and that client were having a conversation that could offend others. The experience was pretty pricey and not worth it. Once my hair was fixed, I was talking to someone who complimented me on this "fixed" cut and I mentioned that this version was a correction from a stylist at Capristo salon and a person overhearing this chimed in that she got a hair cut by this same stylist at this same salon the day before and her layers were not blended as well (my hair is shorter and hers is longer). I hate to name names as everyone has a bad day or days but I would just urge caution! Next time, I don't think I will make an appt with someone based on reviews, I will need to see their work in person!

Dedicated Stylist

Hello Citysearch patrons, my name is Kimberly Hughes and I am a stylist at Capristo Salon. I am on Citysearch today in reference to the comment that was written about me on October 18 by one of my clients, NicoleA20. I want to extend a formal apology to you that your final product was not what you envisioned. There may have been some miscommunication between what you and I both pictured for the final result. As for leaving the bleach on a long time, my first concern is always the integrity of the hair. If the processing time felt long for the bleach, I would have a good reason for doing so. One of my goals as a stylist for my clients is to inform and educate all of you of what is happening to you during your time with me. That is one of the reasons why I became an educator for L'Oreal Professionel and for my several master degrees in color so that I am always keeping abreast of the latest classes and educating myself for my clients. The reason I am writing on Citysearch is because I would love to extend an invitation to you to come back, so that we can sit down and discuss exactly what your expectations are for your hair and how we would go about attaining them. I could tell you exactly what my thought process was for your last appointment by your detailed client information card that I keep on all my color clients. What would be a great help and tool for us to better communicate when we consult is to have some pictures of hair color that you like and dislike to use as a reference point. Once again I do apologize your last experience was not what you had envisioned, and I would love to make it up to you. Shelly is The Brazilian wax gueen of Pittsburgh

I just started school in Pittsburgh, so I needed a new place for my Brazilian waxes. I found Shelly on line and thought I would give her a try. Well her reviews were all correct. She really is so professional and fast, I was amazed.

I have went to Kim a few times for highlights ...she does a really good job and takes her time but the past couple times I went she didn't really listen to what I wanted. She also left the bleach in a really long time without checking them...There were very very white then!

Shelly's Brazilian waxes are by far the best

I heard about Shelly's Brazilian wax techniques so I drove 2 hrs to see her. I had waxes before that were not great.

Shelly met all my expectations. She was so fast and missed nothing. Before Shelly waxed me, I had to go home and clean up what others left behind. Shelly knows her stuff. Very professional as well.

Best Massage Therapist in Town!

Never have I had the results that I have from Eileen. She is an amazing Massage Therapist and I would tell everyone and anyone that it is a mistake to not experience one of her massages! I am a football, soccer and sometimes baseball player and she has saved my sporting career! She has done wonders with my injuries in just an hours time! I have had massages from numerous therapists in the area. Until now it was always a search for someone who could actually do something for my aches and pains. No longer am I searching! I wouldn't waste my time or money going anywhere else. The whole experience is always great. Her personality rocks! The atmosphere is calming and relaxed in the new spa. If you are looking for MAGIC - she is the one!

Anita is AMAZING

Anita has been doing my hair for over a year now. She is the absolute best! She has an amazing personality and is so much fun to talk with that I really look forward to every appointment! She worked with me to find the perfect red (and for anyone who goes red you all know this is truly difficult) and has made sure to keep my formula written down so it will be perfect every time. She colored my hair right before my engagement pictures and when I felt it was still a tich too bright, she came in early to put a rinse on me so that it would be perfect for the pictures. In July she did my hair and my bridal party’s hair for my wedding. It was a COMPLETELY stress FREE experience. My hair was gorgeous and I have gotten a million times more compliments on my hair than anything else I had on that day! Seriously I think most people liked my hair more than my dress! She really listens to what you are looking for and the hair styles my bridesmaids had chosen REALLY fit all of their personalities and were all so different and unique. She is truly an artist! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! I also went to her to donate my hair after my wedding and she did an amazing job! I donated 11 inches and my post-donation cut is SUPER cute!! LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!!

I also went to Lydia for my pre-wedding waxing and she is awesome. That woman is a stray hair's arch enemy! My eyebrows and my mom's eyebrows both looked gorgeous and the bikini wax was SO FAST! Absolutely awesome!

Great experience for Massage

It was my first professional massage and the masseuse made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was nervous at the beginning but by the end of it I wanted to come back and do it some more. You will find places with cheaper prices but I think Capristo is worth the extra money. I'll definitely be back, and I'm telling everyone I know.

I went to Capristos for a cut and went to Dana based on the reviews I read here. She did not disappoint. She did a fabulous job on my hair- I've gotten tons of compliments on it since I got it done. Very rarely do I ever leave a salon looking presentable. I have thick wavy hair that takes a long time to dry and straighten and stylists usually don't take the time to make it look right. Dana took the time needed to do an excellent job. Also, while I was there another stylist asked her for advice on a color and I take that as a good sign that she knows what she's doing and is respected by her coworkers. I'm so pleased and will definitely be going back to her.
