Amazing Food!.
It's obvious to me that "pghgal7" is obviously an ex employee of this fine eating establishment. Either that or she is just not very intelligent.
That food at Pagano's is amazing. I work at a local hotel and have sent many people to eat there after having many fabulous meals there myself and have never heard anything but raving reviews from my customers. I highly recommend Pagano's. Just don't be in a hurry because everything is made from scratch so you will be there at least an hour.
“Best Authentic Italian Food”.
Traveling home from a business trip we decided to get off the exit before entering the turn pike heading east. We did not want turnpike food. At the end of exit we noticed Italian Restaurant and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. Waitress was very friendly and provided fast courteous service. Our food was great. Being a first generation Italian in this country I felt right at home. The food reminded me of my late Mother's Sunday diners. Everything was great, so great that I purchased a jar of their home made sauce and their home made salad dressing to take home with me. A month later I contacted the restaurant and ordered additional pasta sauce which was sent directly to my residence. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yes, WE did pay for the food-but now im wondering why you were even invited?????. To comment on PGHGAL7's "horribe" review on her FREE visit to Pagano's. I was the bride for the shower she is talking about. First of all, the service was excellent as well as the food hence the reason there was nothing left and this is not because there wasn't enough food but because everyone went up for seconds. PGHGAL7's "undercover Gordon Ramsey review" on the food is FAR from the truth. The chicken was fresh and crispy, the potatoes were buttery and very tasteful and the fruit salad???? What fruit salad?? That was gone before, I THE BRIDE could even get any, it was that good! Since PGHGAL7 didnt touch on any of the other food, I WILL! The salad was very crisp and fresh, the pasta was great and the sauce was FULL of flavor, the greenbean almondine was out of this world. In reguards to the cake, which was also delicious, wasnt even provided by Pagano's. In the end, I was very pleased with everything and would recommend Pagano's to any "bride to be". PGHGAL7 dont hate- you left with a full belly and a parting gift!
Great Family Recipes. I don't generally post reviews on anything, but the posting from PGHGAL7 regarding this business was unfair and deserved a rebuttal. I am not from the Pittsburgh area (anymore) but I have eaten at this restaurant on numerous occasions (as recently as 3 weeks ago) and have never experienced the kind of food PGHGAL7 describes. I found the restaurant to be a great family owned business - clean, with friendly staff and great quality & quantity for the price. Granted when I've eaten at the restaurant, I ordered from the menu and the meal was prepared to order. The pizza is great with made from scratch sauce. And the Sicilian Pasta is to die for, the pasta being imported from Italy and the sauce a special family recipe from the owner's sister who actually lives in Sicily, Italy still. The ravioli are made at Pagano's with the owner's mother's recipe, and all sauces are from scratch, and again, using family recipes. It is my opinion that the author of the bad review is particularly critical. One bad experience doesn't need to be posted on the web as though it is the gospel truth.
They get paid for this food???.
I went here for a shower, and the food was horrible. Where to begin...
1) The chicken was so greasy that the breading was saturated with grease and falling off of the meat. There was a pool of congealed fat on the bottom of the serving tray.
2) The parslied potatoes were canned potatoes mixed with a combination of what tasted like oil and butter, but heavier on the oil. They actually left a greasy film on the roof of my mouth.
3) The "fruit salad" (and I use the term lightly), was frozen mixed fruit dumped into a bowl and thawed. The strawberries were mushy and discolored. I mean, come on! Does anyone actually use that stuff for fruit salad? I might throw it in a smoothie in December, but not use it as a fruit salad when the fresh fruit is seasonal!
4) The red velvet cake looked good. However, it was dry and the icing had crunchy sugar bits in it.
Granted, this was a catered party,so I wasn't the one footing the bill. But it was a crappy meal to drive an hour for , even if it was free. Steer clear!
