Editorial Review for Lincoln Hills – by Brian Coe
The Scene
This 6,000 yard, par-72 lies conveniently off the Irwin interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The first hole starts out flat, but that's about the last time you¿ll see level land
other than on the tees. Trees line most of the fairways tightly, while the
slick greens are of a fair and average size.
Signature Hole
The par-4, 373 yard finishing hole consists of a downhill drive that takes away much of the distance. Problem is, if your tee shot goes too far you could be going for a swim. A large lake guards the front of the green, and is just in distance of a solid driver. Take a three or five wood or consider laying up with a long iron. The green slopes back toward the water and don't let the crowd in the clubhouse/banquet hall distract you while putting.
Green Space
The courses four par-5s (holes 1, 9, 10, and 16) all measure under 500 yards from the whites, and give excellent chances for birdies.

Insider Tips
PracticeA large practice green sits just behind the 18th green and a practice range lies adjacent to the course by the Holiday Inn Express which shares the club grounds.
Course TipPlacement is more important than distance, especially on the shorter front nine. Put the driver away when possible.
Number of SleevesTwo to three. Stay out of the high grass to the right of No. 2 or say adios to your Titleist.
