The Scene – Sitting a couple of miles off the Irwin exit of the turnpike, this dairy farm has manifold purposes: it's a milk processing plant, a bakery, a lunch spot, and an ice cream parlor. Kid-friendly, Kerber's also has a petting zoo in the summer, hayrides in the fall and a small playground yearround. It's so popular, you'd think the turnpike commission had redirected traffic. – – The Food – Owner Tom Kerber Sr. oversees the technical part of the operations; son, Tom, Jr., works on new and unusual ice cream flavors. I love Kerber's! :D

by bittersweetlove

How could you not love Kerber's? I've been going there ever since I was very young. I'm 14 now, but I have so many good memories of that place. I loved the hay rides, I went on them every year. It's a great family place, cozy, and with many other things like a small playground, corn mazes in the fall, hay rides, feeding the animals, etc. It's a great place to take your kids, I used to think Kerber's playground was the greatest. There are seats inside and outside, so depending on the weather, you can pick. Kerber's makes me feel happy every time Isee it, remembering my memories I made there as a child.

Not to mention their delicious ice cream. :)

I highly suggest you try Kerber's if you haven't already.

A nice family place

by aclarkson

We live in the area and go there several times a year. There is a playground for kids outside and goats you can feed for 10 cents a handful. Picnic tables outside to watch the kids. Food is just regular. When we go at lunch food is under a heatlamp. It's also inexpensive. Doesn't matter though because icecream is the big attraction. It's really nice in the fall when you can pay for a hayride and pick out a pumpkin.

  • Pros: Fun for a family.
  • Cons: not so wonderful food.

HORRIBLE ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE

by justlemon

IF YOU LIKE EATING ICECREAM IN A STATE PARK BATHROOM, THIS IS THE PLACE. THE SMELL IS OVERPOWERING. THE EMPLOYEES ARE UNRULY AND CARRY ON W/EACH OTHER AND HAVE THIER FRIENDS ALL COME TO "HANG OUT" WITH THEM. THEY DO NOT WIPE OFF TABLES, LEAVING THEM ALL STICKY AND GARBAGE STREWN. THE TOPPINGS ON THIER BANANA SPLITS ARE SMUCKERS PRESERVES!!!! WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND CANT UNDERSTAND OTHER RAVE REVIEWS. THEY MUST HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY FAMILY MEMBERS.

  • Pros: the dog treats are cute
  • Cons: the whole place
