I scheduled a Spa Day at Allante: massage, mani, pedi, customized facial, body polish and underarm waxing. When I called, I asked as many questions as I could think of: how long will my appointment last?, do I need to bring snacks?, how long before the appointment should I stop shaving? I was told that they could order lunch in for me and I was told to not shave the day of. I thought I was ready for the appointment, but I wasn't. My hair wasn't long enough to wax and lunch was never ordered (nor even offered to be ordered for me). No one EVER offered me snacks of any kind throughout the day (maybe because I brought a snack?), but the owner commented "Is that all the scooby-snacks that you brought today?" My appointment started at 9 am and ended at 2 pm! Needless to say, I was hungry by the time I left. Good thing I brought an apple and a snack bar, but they didn't cut it.

Beyond this, my overall impression of the spa is that it is very outdated and overpriced for what you get. The carpet wasn't vacuumed, the spa looked and felt "dirty" (equipment/surfaces not cleaned, etc. - the tool used to clean my cuticles was actually used to scoop out the foot mask mud - gross!!!) and it was in a converted house. It was not well designed. It was a mix of old-world europe with 80s black-lacquer furniture. It was very mis-matched and outdated. And when you are downstairs for your relaxing treatments, you hear everyone walking on the first floor - not very relaxing. There are no lockers for your personal items - you get to carry them around with you. I was given a robe eventually, but no sandals, etc. After my body polish, I was shown the shower to wash off, but wasn't warned that when someone flushes the toilet, the water goes ice cold. The house, overall, was freezing! I was getting a lot of treatments and kept telling them I was cold, but all they did was bring a blanket over. It would have been better to have heated table pads and/or turn up the heat!

The owner brought her dog to the spa - thankfully I am not allergic too much to dogs. She was not polite to the girl working with me and she was a bit snooty with me. I was talking to my sytlist and she jumped into our conversation constantly.

I paid extra for a custom facial. My face felt smooth, but the problem area I pointed out (pore cleaning) was NOT addressed. The shallac pedicure peeled off the next day! The shellac manicure has air bubbles all through it and it chipped the same day.

It was an expensive lesson learned and I would never recommend this spa to anyone. Find one that is more professional, well managed, and more importantly, clean.

I'm very pleased!. I am very pleased after my appointment last week. First, I love my hair, thank you. The color, cut and tips and styling tricks they gave me were top-notch and have helped me to maintain the look I want after leaving the salon. In all honesty, the cut Rose gave me is really the best I've had in years, if not my whole life. Thank you

Not worth the money.... I had a hair cut there and paid $50... Overall, it wasn't worth the money. Also, I found the owner to be annoying and a bit snobby.

I had a shellac manicure and she did a great job.. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. I had a shellac manicure and she did a great job. I don't love the color, but that is not your fault. The color looked darker on the bottle. I wish I lived closer to your salon. The next time I am in Greensburg, I will return. Thanks

I am so grateful!. I am so grateful that Rosie squeezed me in last minute when I had a sudden urge to go short. Not only did I end up with a great haircut, I also got some great styling tips as well- With minimal styling. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Thank you!

Best in the Area - You get what you pay for!. Allante is a really great place. Whatever your needs are they can accommodate. I make it a day and get my hair, nails and a massage and they are all very welcoming. Inside you feel very at home they way it's all set up. You have to see it for yourself. My husband will be getting his hair cut there as well... I'm even thinking of sending my family a gift card for a massage as well; they know what they are doing. Honestly, I would highly recommend to anyone!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!. My first visit I got my hair done by Rose and loved it. It was a huge change and I got so many compliments. It was well worth the price. I loved my pedicure and manicure on my second visit! I just went back recently to get my hair done and I had to write another review... it was another great job. It is always very comfortable in there... Definitely a one of a kind service! THANK YOU!
