Fun Place for the family. They have lots of chocolate the pick from in their case, lots of candy for the kids, they have a gift shop for the seasons and their chocolate gifts change for the holiday.

They also have an ice cream parlor where you get huge portions of ice cream. It's a fun place to visit and eat.

Have searched the country for better chocolate .. Sarris is TOPS!. I am not even a big "sweets" lover. Chocolate in small doses. But after growing up in Pgh and with Sarris Chocolate, and leaving 15 years ago, I realize part of that may be because I have yet to find chocolate this good. My all time favorite item is their milk chocolate covered pretzels. Still searching for one that competes. I will again have them on my christmas list from family to ship off the Sarris variety!

If you haven't tried .. do your self a big favor and do so:)

Cherries are disappointing. My husband kindly purchased for me a box of Sarris Chocolate Covered Cherries for Valentine's day. When I opened the box, I noticed that the cherries were leaking. It was an extreme disappointment. According to me husband, they were at a premium price. I am going to be writing to the company next to report my dissatisfaction. Even though the box looks really good all wrapped up, it doesn't mean that the contents are satisfactory.

melt in your mouth to die for chocolate. couldnt live without this chocolate not extreemly expensive, about 5 min. away from my house, I LOVE THE PEANUTBUTTER MELT AWAYS!!!!!!!!!!! they better have sarris in heaven : ) this is a very clean place great service. must stop in and have a tast

BEST CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!. This is the best chocolate in the entire world and i know cause i have tasted it all. these people have perfected the term melt in your mouth! THE ABSOLUTE BEST dark chocolate you will EVER EVER eat!!!I have spent thousands on this candy, from Christmas gifts to Easter gift to everything gifts. its expensive but worth every cent!

Out of this world!. I would go to the ends of the earth for a piece of Sarris Chocolate! Unfortunately, I live in Texas and have to wait for friends to bring some. Absolutely the best milk chocolate I've ever tasted.....and I've lived all over the country.

Candy for only the sweetest teeth.. The Whole Story
Founder Frank Sarris probably never imagined that a gesture to impress his girlfriend 40 years ago would lead to a large candy manufacturing operation. Sarris--who succeeded in impressing his girlfriend (she subsequently became his wife)--aimed to improve his baking skills. Then he continued to bake chocolate for his family and friends in his basement. As word spread, he started selling to the local market and gave up his day job to devote his life to baking chocolate.

Nothing But Success
The business expanded steadily over the years; in 1983, Sarris, a fan of old-fashioned ice cream parlors, built one of his own that included such features as brass booths and crystal chandeliers. Today, Sarris' operation is the size of a football field, selling hundreds of different types of candies along with seasonal specialties.

MMMMM & MMMMM. Sarris Candies is a local best-kept secret. It's by far my favorite ice cream store. The candy is great, too, but the ice cream is better. I haven't found any fresher- or creamier-tasting ice cream anywhere around the city -- and believe me, I've looked! The peanut butter ice cream (it's a chocolate base with lots of peanut butter swirls & chunks) is to die for! I understand they even make their own DELICIOUS chocolate sprinkles. I live over 50 miles away, but make the trip every chance I get.

the place is immaculate!. The place is unbelievably clean - you feel like you've stepped back to the 50's and the prices are phenomenally low! You can treat your whole family to some delicious ice cream treats without having to float a second mortgage! Worth a special trip with the family, young and old!

YUMMY. sarris candies ice cream was by far the best ice cream i have had in the city of pittsburgh. very creamy, rich flavor keeps you wanting to go back for more. even though it is a little drive from the city, it is well worth it.
