I love going to Shady Acres. Owners are Very helpful and knowledgeable and they have a ton of stuff.You can be there for hours and not see everything. If I was looking for a saddle Sady Acres is the first place I would go.

The Most Fun Tack Shop Ever!. Shopping Shady Acres is almost as fun as riding my new horse. First, they let me take home a few saddles, new and used, for trial. Through this process I found the best and most comfortable fit for me and my horse. The price was really good too. I needed a lot of other stuff and had such a good time shopping that on subsequent visits I took horse-loving friends along. The shop feels 1/3 tack swap, 2/3 tack shop. The family that owns it are lovely, quirky people who can get a little short with you, as a few reviews noted, but the bottom line is they have big hearts and want us shoppers to find what we really need. They know a lot about horses and their products and will work to find you the best-match products. It can't be an easy job because we shoppers can think we know what's best and we can be wrong...as I discovered during my saddle hunt. I look forward to my next adventure there.

Best place to find stuff for your horse. I have been going to Shady Acres for about 30 years and they have always had everything you need in every price range. They have a great selection of saddles upstairs!! They even have great gifts for everyone incuding Breyer horses. The people are very knowlegeable and not matter what your price range they will find it for you!!

Best Tack Store EVER!. A few hours ago i got back from Shady Acres.

Shady acres is great! They have everything horses there... English, western, Breyers (a billion different kinds), decorations, books, and grooming supplies. Everything is really well priced. I got a brand new English showjacket for only $50 when it was originally $80. The people there are very nice too. Go to Shady Acres! it is awesome and probably one of the best tack stores ive been to!

A great place for everything. I was amazed at the inventory and selection and I received excellent help with finding a show outfit for my daughter. Excellent!

Attitude. Their attitude kills me. A lot of great products but when you ask for help they do not hesitate to show you that they don't want to. Plus, if you have the only show in town, might be a good idea to be open 7 days a week.

Mixed feelings. I used to go to Shady Acres. While they have everything, the place is packed wall to wall with products and its impossibly cluttered. Not very organized. I find it hard to find exactly what I'm looking for. I called down to ask about used close contact saddles I was looking for in a specific price range and size - they wouldn't tell me what they had - only that they had a large variety. I'm not about to drive an hour on the chance they have what I need. . . when I asked again for specifics they told me the same thing. Didn't want to take the time to look and answer my question. I didn't find them very friendly either!
