The Scene
Located in Caste Village in Whitehall, this place is always busy with families out for a good-value meal. There are often sizable waits, especially at peak hours on weekends, and people whiz in and out with takeout orders.
The Food
The salads are crisp and chock-full of juicy tomatoes and vegetables, and the order of lasagna is the size of a briefcase. Buffalo wings are tasty and not too spicy, while the club sandwiches should be held together with steel rods instead of toothpicks. Pasta dishes at most places are large, but here they are large and deep and more than most mortals can handle. Service, once you get seated, is amazingly good considering the turnover. The management believes that people should get what they pay for, and they strive to deliver on that belief.

The last time I ate at Armstrong my waitress was just aweful. She was so unattentive to us and took 15minutes to get us our drinks! That's just unacceptable especially since her section was NOT that busy. They definately don't have the best customer service as we have had this same experience multiple times! They need to spend more effort on hiring quality staff.we wanted to walk out.

I eat there usually once a week for lunch, I have tried almost everything on the menu in the last 4 years. My co=workers are big fans too.

I have been disappointed the last 3 times I've been to Armstrong's and I have to say I think I'm going to just give up going there. The last time I went, the person who seated us told us we couldn't have a booth because we hadn't "specialized one". Whatever that means. So we sat at a table right outside the kitchen with waitresses brushing our hair and bumping us every time an order came out. Not fun. I got a reuben and the thing was huge, but the corned beef was almost all fat. My sister got a grilled chicken salad and there were only 4 strips of chicken on it. I remember the day when attention to what left the kitchen made you want to go back again and again. Now it just seems like greed is driving the business but customer service is gone.
