Bad food and charges.

Our group went to Calabria"s tonight(7/8/2011) at the old Frosty Valley Golf Course. I ordered Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and fries. I am still waiting on the fries and the five small shrimp I got for 19 plus dollars were rediculious. Then when I received my bill I was charged for the ice in my Markers Mark on the rocks drink and was also charged for as martini (alledgedly for a Manhatten) when I just ordered Markers Mark on the rocks. This is a complete rip off and I would not recommed this resturant (and I use the word lightly) to anyone. We had ten people in our group and not one of them spoke highly of this place.

Great Veal!

Their veal dishes are excellent and they have several from which to chose. My favorite is the Veal Porcini. The daily specials remind me of dinner at Grandma Rose's, tasty and abundant. What it lacks in atmosphere is more than compensated by the food. I take the family there for quality meals...not for the decor or mood lighting. It is also nice to be able to read the menu without straining my eyes. I have also attended several functions in their banquet room and was pleasantly suprised by the great food.

• Cons: Paying at the register.

Best All Around In Pittsburgh

My family has been going to Calabria's since they have been on Grove Road. I love the food, atmosphere, the employees and the family that owns it. I feel like I'm at a friends house. In over 15 years I've never been disappointed. I honestly feel they are the best in Pittsburgh. They have also taken care of all of our special occasions. We have used their beautiful banquet room, and they have also catered to our house and South Park for private parties. I have never received so many phone calls asking about the food or where we got it after a party like that. And the prices are actually lower than the other similar restaurants in the area. If you are curious I would say it is a definite must try. We love it.

Not that good

I have been to Calabria's several times. The owner's name is Dave, very nice fella...their salads are really good and their ranch dressing is good. As far as anything else, it's just average, the red sauce isn't that good. The staff isn't "that" friendly, I have had better service. I'm an Italian woman who enjoys her italian food, and I would rather go to Pasta Too or Olive Garden or Armstrongs over Calabrias.

The #1 Restaraunt

I have enjoyed this restaraunt for many years. The atmosphere is welcoming, food delicious, and the service was most friendly. The Calabria family is always there to meet the needs of every person that walks through the door whether it is a party of 1 or 100. I recommend this family style restaraunt to everyone looking to have an enjoyable dining experience.
