The Scene
This B&B is one of the two properties that make up the Inns on Negley collection. The Italianate Victorian building was constructed in 1884, and its blue-and-white facade welcomes with its pretty front porch and wide bay windows. Inside are decorative plaster on the ceilings and original hardwood floors.
The Details
The bedrooms come in all styles. Many suites are named after types of apples, from the ubiquitous Granny Smith to the lesser known Arkansas Black Apple. Guests will find touches like fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and sleigh beds. All rooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access. Breakfast features dishes like spinach-Brie frittata and lemon souffle pancakes. There's a complimentary wine-and-cheese hour, Friday and Saturday evenings. Appletree also hosts events for up to 50, such as afternoon teas, baby showers and wine tastings. The house is nonsmoking and handicap-accessible rooms are available.
