Best Vintage in Pittsburgh

Hey Betty! has always been my favorite place to shop in Pgh and their new location is even better! It's a fun place full of great finds and I'm especially attracted to their superb selection of costume jewelry and handbags. The owners know their stuff and are very knowledgeable about various trends, designers, etc. throughout time. This place is perfect for those who really appreciate vintage clothing and accessories but don't want to dig through a bunch of nasty cheap poly stuff in the thrifts. The shop is well organized, the items are beautifully displayed and the racks (and the shop itself) aren't so jammed full that you have struggle to see the merchandise. I was looking for a particular type of necklace but didn't see anything like it in the cases. When I told the owners what I was looking for they pulled out a few boxes of necklaces and had several of that style for me to choose from. I found the perfect thing! So be sure to ask if you don't see it. Sure, the prices are a bit higher than what you'd pay at some junk shop, but for the quality and ease of shopping, it's well worth the price.
- Pros: nice displays, well organized
Pricey and pretentious

Fun place to browse, but too pricey to buy very much. They take themselves very seriously (too seriously, I think) and only sell "trendy" vintage items. Good for people serious about vintage items, not for the everyday thrift store fiend.
- Pros: Fun, Great displays, Unique items, Good location
- Cons: Expensive, cramped

This can vary depending on the type of article you buy and how old it is. A fine vintage outfit could run you up to the $70-$80 range, but you'll undoubtedly come out looking good.
