In Short
Like all the restaurants in the Big Burrito chain, the interiors are well designed, with beautiful Murano glass lighting fixtures throughout. Colors here are muted, as is the noise level, except near the bar. Expect to encounter upscale yuppies and club scene students. Chef Bill Fuller does wonders with dishes like the crispy kimchi and vegetarian dumplings with a roasted red pepper dipping sauce. The pork dumplings are outstanding, as is the pad thai.

Good selection of cocktails and wine, but overprized appetizers in the lounge. Seating is sparse on the weekends.

This is another one of those common "As seen on the food channel" menus. It has those silly living large menu prices. Skimpy portions with various sauces dripped across the entree. The puny rolls and the meager salad made us laugh. The service was slow and another couple waited 10 minutes for after seating and no one bothered to take their drink order. They departed the restaurant quite unhappy; seemed like their first date too! Thought the food was average to below average for the price. Decor is nice; but if you want value. There are other asian places within walking distance in that neighborhood. Good chinese place around the corner. Anyway, consumers need to begin demanding value from these places. Skimpy portions and a $100 tab...without drinks is frankly robbery in a place like Pittsbugh.

Although the menu can be a bit sparse, they switch it up often enough to keep things fresh. The portions can be a bit on the small side for the price, but the food is always excellent and the decor is fantastic. The wait staff is always attentive and spot-on, and the kitchen likes to send out goodies at random, which I've never really gotten anywhere else. Considering the quality of the food, the prices are far from unreasonable. This has become my personal favorite Big Burrito place, and I really enjoy going there. On the down-side, the crowd can tend a bit much toward the yuppie end, which can be either offputting or a positive, depending on.. well, how much of a yuppie you are. Bar tends to be filled with aging singles, especially on the weekends, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend drinking there if you're under, say, 30. But overall, great food, reasonable prices gorgeous atmosphere.
