never again.
I ordered a steak sandwich and got a loaf of bread with hot peppers and a minor hint of what i guess these people call steak. i guess that is why the place was completely empty besides the bartender and the cook on a saturday night. a place to place your bets not a place to get what you would expect a decent steak sandwich would be.

Sub shop and live local music spot that doubles as the area's biggest fan of NASCAR..
The Scene
Shoehorned into one of Pittsburgh's many "golden miles" of new and used car dealerships, Carhops is right at home. Like a lot crowded with low mileage beauties driven only to church, the menu is chock full of deals.
The Food
Cheese steaks such as the De Ville, Z-28, Impala S/S, and GTO call to mind the vehicles that define our collective culture. Also, the half-pound burgers are called "Lamburghini's," "Spark plugs" are wings, and "Side Pipes" comprise various side orders such as "lugnuts" and "o-rings." The menu goes a step too far with the ill-named "chicken headers."
The Liquor
Away from the glaring lights of the sandwich shop, the rear of Carhop's gives way to the more subdued setting of the raised bar, complete with big screen TV and stage. The area is equally comfortable to watch sports of live music. The unique boomerang shape of the space allows bands to rock in the back without disturbing the hoagie rolls in the front.
