Favorite Place in PGH. When we lived in SO. Hills PGH. This was THE PLACE every Friday or Saturday nite. The staff made you feel so welcome & they were very polite. You felt like family. The bar was beautiful. Very Friendly--The blue-cheese spread & Martinis wre excellent. Food was delicious--My favorites--crabemeat cocktails, virginia spots & all the soups. Desserts to die for!!! Now I live in New Castle & don't get there as often as I would like. Lots of Good Memories there --& Still my FAVORITE Thank All of There!!!!

Well-known restaurant create a bad taste?. Tambellini's has a very inviting reputation that would make anyone want to go.

6 Friends arrive to enjoy a saturday evening, waited over 1 hr after their RSVP time with no apologies or drink offer. Seated at a wobbly table with a dinner napkin handed to the guest of honor as a solution. The 6 friends tried to fix the table with no assistance from staff. Arrival time was 7:30pm- dinner arrived at 10pm. Wow!

Waitress was great- did what she could in a mis-managed, unorganized environment-

Too late-The unpleasant experience let the 6 friends leave with a bad taste.

Italian HEAVEN on EARTH. It simply doesn't get any better....freshest fish, delightful pasta, terrific salad and great service in a fiendly atmosphere. Tony Soprano would dig it....Bada Boom Bada Bing.

The largest of the Tambellini family restaurants, with close to 800 seats, is located through the Liberty Tubes from Downtown.. The Scene
The restaurant draws a good crowd for lunch as well as dinner, and the clientele tends to be older and suburban.

The Food
The specialty here is fish, and this is one of the original fish places in town. There are also some nice pasta dishes here, and the Tambellini's make one of the better traditional red sauces in town.

If You Order One Thing
The big sellers are scrod and the more expensive haddock.
