great italian food. This restaurant is in my top five faves and definitely my favorite for italian food. We recently hosted a party there for about 24 people and it was fabulous as always. The waitstaff was so prompt and courteous and the food was excellent, as always. Even though I understand the owner is new the restaurant has been around for a long time and the new owner's have retained everything about it that makes it a great place to eat. The portions are also large.…
Tasty, straightforward Italian cuisine in the heart of Little Italy..
I've been to this restaurant a few times and have had consistently good dining experiences here. It's a great place for a date or for a late dinner with friends. The establishment is clean,
comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The waitstaff are prompt, professional and courteous. The food ranges from the tasty and competently done (fettucine alfredo, crab cakes, eggplant parmesan) to the out of this world (the potato ballz*, beautiful golden-brown globes of deep-fried mashed potatoes and mozzarella that are a must-try). The menu is relatively simple and straightforward, but large enough that there are plenty of new things to try. There are ample vegetarian options, but vegans would have a harder time of it here.
I've always been too stuffed to try their desserts--the portions are nothing if not generous!--but I'm looking forward to saving room one of these days.
*Citysearch, in all its infinite wisdom, will not allow me to publish the actual name of this potato dish because it is "inappropriate." (!!!!) Censorship run amok, I think.…
Nice little place for a date or gathering. I liked this place. The food was so good and it was reasonably priced. They offer your usual Italian entrees but they have some different appetizers to try. Plus their Italian bread is so good. Reservations are recommended for a group, this place isn't big. The bar is in the front and the restaurant is in the back. Parking in Bloomfield can sometimes be tight but after eating all the delicious food here, a walk back to the car afterwards wouldn't hurt.…
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Authentic Italian cuisine is served at the restaurant that offers a casual atmosphere.
Good Food.
Headed in after our first choice restaurant was packed...They sat us very quickly and service was very good. I think the wine list was a little limited for an italian restaurant - but they had what
I wanted so no big deal. The food was very good. We ordered (and ate) a ton - for not a lot of money. My favorite was the italian egg-roll. Tons of great choices and everything looked and tasted great.
Downside, I was freezing during the entire meal...they tried to fix, but I think there were having heating problems in the back of the restaurant. But, wouldn't stop me from going back (I'll bring a sweater!).…
