Paddy Cake WORST BAKERY EVER!!!!. Omg where do i begin??? I purchased a cake a week ago. it was for my sons communion. I paid $125 for this garbage cake. The icing wasnt what i wanted. The decorations on the cake were completely HIDEOUS!!!!! It looked as if a 2 year old child was given the icing to drawn on it. It was suppose to serve 50 people it was smaller than a quarter sheet cake. I paid an EXTRA $24.00 to have a rosery drawn on the cake along with a host and chalice, U couldnt tell what either one of those items were. The rosery looked like she was falling asleep and was dripping icing all over the cake. The host and chalice were one big sloppy blob of icing. I told the lady that was taking my order i DID NOT want roses on this cake at all and it has 13 blue and white globs of icing they call roses, the rose pedals are WHITE, on top of a white cake icing. U cant tell where the cake begins and the roses end. The icing they put around the cake to decorate the bottom is falling off and missing. the streamer around the top part of the cake is missing and the lettering....Im sorry but it looked like someone that was hung over with the shakes wrote on this cake. There are gouge marks in the cake where she dug too deep in the icing with the tip of the icing thing. The lettering could of been done better by my 8 YEAR OLD!!!!!!! Was totally disappointing. When the lady helping me took the lid off the box she looked in total disbelief, she was EMBARRASSED for me. She apoligized and gave me the number for the manager whom I will be contacting Tuesday. I could go on for days and days about this ABOMINATION!!!! Totally not what i was willing to pay for. The only reason there is 1 star is because they wont let u mark zero! I will also be posting on facebook twitter and myspace as to how AWFUL this place is!!!! Thank god it wasnt my wedding cake!

Think Twice before buying. This bakery has always been a very good bakery. Cannot pin point on what has happened. Order a full sheet cake and when I got there to pick it up I was told that is would be about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour longer because they messed up something on the cake and had to redo. They were to put volleyball on the cake and when I took the cake to the party a four year old look at the cake and said that's a soccer ball on the cake. Mother said SHH. There was a comment made to me that the bakery has been struggling lately. I called the bakery a day after to put a complaint in and manager told me she would get back to me. 5 days later I had to call back. She told me that the owner would credit me 24 dollars back. SERIOUSLY where am I ahead? The bakery still is getting there 65 dollars. Thank you so much Mr. Conley. and also the manager of the store.

Not the place to go for your wedding cake. Before we even showed up for our disappointing cake tasting, it was nearly impossible to get an appointment. Three times I got put on hold over the phone, then forgotten about. They're not open on Sundays or evenings, making it impossible for a working couple to make an appointment, plus their "wedding coordinator" isn't available every day.

When we arrived, we had 2 little pieces of white cake given to us: one plain white, one white with a raspberry filling. That's it. That was our cake tasting. $235 for a 3-tier white wedding cake? Paddy Cake can't even do any type of decorations that aren't frosting-based – no sugared or gelled flowers (they'd have to order those), no edible golds or glitters, nothing. They won't even put fresh flowers on it themselves – they "let the florist do that."

I was amazed that the "wedding coordinator" was completely unprepared. We asked her, what if we wanted a spice cake instead? Or a carrot cake? Or a chocolate cake? Could we taste any samples of those? No, because she hadn't made any of those for us to try. The coordinator was disinterested in helping us think outside of the box. She seemed frazzled and "bothered" that we were even there. When I suggested we might like a pumpkin pie in addition to our cake, she looked at me like I'd grown a third eye.

The kicker was, I had a gift certificate for a free 2-tier cake. The "wedding coordinator" actually said at some point in the conversation that my fiancee and I were "obviously going to go with Paddy Cake Bakery since we had a gift certificate," but to come back in August so she could make a spice cake for us to try.

What?!

If you want a plain white wedding cake that tastes no better or no worse than any other white cake, why waste $235 – $350 here? You're better off going to Market District.

This place is a joke.

Phone Order: Repeat what you want at least twice.. It may taste good, but is it what you ordered? They will not sell a cheesecake without ordering ahead of time and maybe not even then. I ordered one and got a regular birthday cake. Good, but not what I ordered. Will try Cosco for a regular decorated cheese cake. There's are great!
