A troll is either a monster that lives under bridges. Presumably they eat and drink under them also..
The Scene
Located beneath the crumbling hulk of the under-used 31st Street bridge on Washington's Landing, itself a former dumping ground and heart of Pittsburgh's once thriving slaughterhouse industry, Troll's Landing is a bar and restaurant tacked onto the side of a bustling marina.
Who's There
Well-heeled boaters and residents from the neighboring posh townhouses rub elbows with land lubbers and island hoppers. In the summer, the action centers around the large deck, and accompanying tiki bar, overlooking the sub-subtropical Allegheny River.
Don't Miss
Between the yearly pair of Jimmy Buffet shows, Troll's becomes a roost for Parrot Heads, all of whom hope THIS will be year the Man sits in for an impromptu set with the band. When things turn colder, the party moves inside to the lush interior and well-stocked bar. While it's easy to get caught up in Troll's liquid assets, don't overlook the tasty and intricately prepared food, itself alone worthy of a visit.
