Tips for Vincent's Pizza Park

Definitely a primo pizza. Vincent's Pizza Park has been my personal favorite pizza shop since moving to the eastern part of Pittsburgh.

Here's why:

1. The shop is a neighborhood mecca.

2. The workers I've encountered are always charming and efficient.

3. Vincent's pizza has quite arguably the best crust out anywhere.

4. They are always generous with their toppings.

5. Their beer selection is excellent. They have Straub.

6. They have a great space for events. "The Lifeless", fans of The It's Alive Show, have enjoyed their hospitality and gave Vincent's high marks!

The only thing that could make Vincent's better would be if they would deliver. In every other respect I give them an A+.

Vincent's is back. I grew up on Vinnie's pie, nobody made it better the him, since he has not been making the pizza, it was not as good, so i stopped going. Last week I decided to try it again, somebody told me he had a girl making the pizza's and she was trained by Vince. WOW!! That was just like the old days... Perfect. Any old timers, still looking for the old vin pie. Go GET It. Make sure Shelly is making the pie, and you will be happy.

THE GREATEST PIZZA IN THE USA. I've had pies in floida, boston, philly, chicago, nyc, maine, colorado, etc

all over.

and this pie takes THEM ALL.

not a deep dish at all but SO THICK and yummy it will take a huge effort to get more than 2-3 slices in your body.

but you won't need more. you will be pleased to the max.

THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT!. This is pizza at its best. There's none of this measured-out, weighed and carefully placed look. This is not health food and makes no pretense to be. It's just good ingredients, lot of them and a great taste that's unique and immediately recognizable. I started eating here as a high school student in 1964. I always enjoyed watching the master at his craft. There were no pretenses and no atmosphere, just great pizza. Four decades later I live in South Carolina but make sure that I eat a Vinnie Pie every time I get to Pittsburgh.

You come here for great pizza; not for atmosphere. You come here for great pizza; not for cheap, two-for-one pizza. You come here for great pizza; not for health food.

I raised my daughter right; any time she gets to Pittsburgh, she brings one back for her old dad. My son lives in Boston and he misses Vinnie Pies.

I have been showing pictures of Vinnie Pies to friends here in SC. They have a hard time believing that any pizza could be this good. I just returned from a visit to the Burgh and brought one back with me (a large with extra cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and sausage). I have made believers of them!

Travels well. This pizza is SO GOOD that once I traveled for 12 hours from Wheeling WV to Saranac Lake NY

with a very large suitcase on my lap because we had turned the trunk of the car into a make-shift "fridge" filled with dry ice in order to transport many Vincent's half-baked pizzas to our pizza-starved buddies who were working at a Young Life camp for a month!!! That's some incredible pizza!

Knock your socks off good pizza. My first time eating this pizza was an end of the term "party" my teacher had for us. we picked up 2 pizzas and took them back to the school I went to. when I got home that night I told my wife we have to go there you will love this food. we went once a week for six months. now we go as often as possible. This food is well worth the drive from anywhere.

A Vinnie Pie would be my choice as my last meal on earth. If I were dying today and I could have a final meal, it would honestly be a Vincent's pizza. I am a former Pittsburgher and make a trip to Vinnie's every time I go back to Pittburgh. I have been going for over 20 years and my parents have gone for 50 years. Vinnie's Pizza is without a doubt the best pizza on the planet. I have traveled to 40 U.S. states and 16 international countries. I have never found a pizza that compares.

Yes, you are not going to a fine dining establishment, it is a hole in the wall. But, there is truly nothing better than getting a few IC Lights and a Vinny pie with your friends. Eating at Vincent's is a unique experience that should be enjoyed. There was a famous Seinfeld episode about a NYC soup place. I suggest you read Vince's 10 rule before you order or ask questions.

For those that have never been, sadly it is unlikely you will see the legend Vinny himself and even more unlikely that you will have the priviledge of eating a pizza made by him, but the recipe has never changed. For those that complain about the grease, it is called "pizza gravy" by Vinny loyalist. Use your crust to soak it up and eat it. Let nothing go to waste.

You have to get a large because you will want leftovers for breakfast the next moring. In my opinion, the pepperoni, mushrooms, and green olives are the best toppings. Toppings are expensive, but trust me, you get you money's worth. And don't forget Vinny pie are like snowflakes, no pizza is the same shape or size as any other before it.

Try Vinny's, if you don't like it, just send me the leftovers.

The best in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I've traveled to places all over the country for the last twenty years, and the first place I go when I come back into town is Vincent's. There is no other pizza worth mentioning. The world would be perfect if Vince built a shop in Penn Hills. If that happened, there would be no reason to leave Penn hills, except to go to Steeler games.
