Stand up MRI is THE way to go.. OK Folks, I was crazy scared to get an MRI. I had one previous unsuccessful attempt at having a standard open MRI.

The stand up MRI is the real deal. It is a HUGE improvement over even the "open" MRI. I thought the staff at High Field in Greentree was great.

My technician was highly experienced, patient and understanding. I required a pituitary scan which allows me to sit during the exam and it was OK. My wife was in the room as moral support during the entire scan and I took 1/2 of a .25 mg Ativan prior to the procedure. I probably didn't need the RX but it made me feel better emotionally to have taken it.

If you are claustrophobic this is the way to go. It is completely doable.

Great place to go. I went to this place first time end of 2009 for a MRI with TV inside that and then for Xrays and MRI this year . I was well explianed the entire procedure by the Tech and guy at front office was very friendly. Even I had late night 8:30 pm appointment the tech and young boy upfront gave me full time andmade me feel comfortable. I was very claustrophobic but the machine they have is too good to have test done

Not a place worth going to.. The MRI techs were good. The office staff could barely speak English and the facilities were dirty. Never again will I go there.

Great staff and high quality pictures. This MRI Unit, and staff are definately worth the drive to get there. I initially had taken my elderly mother in for an MRI, due to her being closterphobic, and Leo was so wonderful with her. He treated her with respect and what I can only immagine, the same way he would treat his own grandmother.

Then, I needed to have some MRI's run, again, only a posative experience, and Michel was truely great! I have only good and posative things to say bout Highfield Open MRI and the staff. Even though I just listed the two that actually did the pictures, even the front desk staff was pleasant, and accomidating.

I definately would highly recommend this facility!

Best upright "Open MRI" in Pittsburgh for those with claustrophobia. Highfield MRI is currently the only truly "open" MRI in the Pittsburgh area. You stand or sit in the latest technology (Fonar MRI unit) while watching television shows or a DVD. This is the best MRI for those with claustrophobia. I have had back and knee MRI's here and the quality of the pictures was very clear. Some doctors say the older open MRI units do not produce as clear a picture, however, I do not believe that is the case with this new Fonar unit.

The staff at Highfield is very courteous, professional and efficient, I highly recommend this service. A special thanks to Leo for putting on the Steelers video!
