Coldwell Banker Real Estate Company does have an affiliate relationship that is clearly disclosed in the documents that are signed. The waived fee is Keystone's fee, not all of your closing fees. Closing fees include transfer taxes, townships fees, municipality requirements, your bank charges, etc.
watch out. I closed with Coldwell Banker Keystone in Wexford. I was promised all title fees to be waived. When I showed up for closing all the fees were on the closing docs. I told their attorney I refused to close. Finally they waived one fee. I am not a US Citizen, I believe they gave me difficult time because English was not good. If you are Asian and want low fees...use other company. Shop fees.
Terrible experience. Last month I purchased a home through Coldwell Banker. The experience was fine till I was told by my realtor that the closing would be delayed because the closing company misplaced the mortgage docs? I found this odd since I didn't use a mortgage company since I paid cash. When I reminded the idiot realtor, she called the title company and they had confused me with another client. It was too late in the day to close, so I spent the night in a hotel. I would have preferred to use my attorney, but the realtor told me the lady who manages her office likes her to use Keystone because she is compensated if she does. This really irked me. I would never use Coldwell again because they are associated with Keystone. If you are reading this, please use any other title company. There are many online to choose from.
High Fees... Just say no!. Coldwell Banker Settlement Services ripped me off. They still owe me money. I believe they are in business with the realtors. I hate the fact the realtors get paid a kick back for recommending them. To boot.. I paid extra so my fat realtor could go out to drink later that night.
High Fees and Tardyness. I closed with Keystone in Wexford. I feel taken advantage of. They give Coldwell Banker a bad name. The fees were higher than what was disclosed to me by the bank. My realtor is a jerk for recommending them. They should have to pay me back for all the title fees I paid. I had to wait 45 minutes for the person to show up to close the escrow.
Keystone was a breeze to work with!.
I used Keystone by the recommendation of my Coldwell Banker agent... everything worked out so well!
My Coldwell Banker mortgage and Keystone worked together seamlessly to have me approved and closed BEFORE the scheduled closing date.
Everything was a breeze (thankfully) and my first home buying experience was great.
Didn't have any issues at all...
Would not recommend. I am a realtor in Pittsburgh area. Many times when I list properties, Coldwell agents push their clients to use Keystone. Their service is rude and slow. I would recommend using a law firm.
Warn against Keystone Closing Svcs.. I purchased a home. My realtor told me I had to use her title company. I agreed with her, then I found out after closing she received a gift at closing from her title agent. All I received was high fees and last minute change in the amount of money I owed at closing. Could it have been the extra fees I paid that went to my realtor. I blame keystone closing services. I should have received my accurate figures on a cash transaction priorbto the night before closing.
Awesome in everyway!!!.
Keystone took a possible disaster and made it seem easy. We found out after the closing that there were numerous issues with the seller and their title. We closed on time and with only good things to say.
My real estate agent recommended them and I would as well!!!
Poor Service.
I just experienced a nightmere cloisng with Keystone. Everything was done at the last minute. They blamed everything on the lender. It was very unprofessional. I would not recomend.
I also conqure with the previous Disapointed Customer that I felt pushed into using Keystone because of the real estate agent. I told the realtor I wanted to use my attorney and they said I had to use Keystone. I felt forced so I used them and missed my closing date.
