Editorial Review for Funny Bone Comedy Club – by Manny Theiner
The Scene
The Pittsburgh area's only full-time comedy venue, the Funny Bone has been around since 1982. With a two-beverage minimum, be prepared to pay more than just the cover, but once you're seated, you'll have as close a view of the stand-up comedian's antics as in any "Seinfeld" episode. It also runs periodic promotions, such as the $5 all-you-can-eat buffet on Tuesdays and $2 cover Wednesdays with headliners on weekends. Located in the upscale shopping center of Station Square, patrons can park in a convenient lot or can simply walk across the Smithfield Street Bridge from downtown.
The Draw
Popular comedians like Jay Leno, Drew Carey, Jackie Mason and Pittsburgh's own Dennis Miller have made their way through the Funny Bone. Hot touring comics like Lewis Black, Tracy Morgan and Mitch Fatel appear regularly along with local up-and-comers.
