Gorgeous wedding flowers; great experience!. I'm new to Pittsburgh and Hepatica was recommended to me by a cousin who used to live here; his friend used to work at Hepatica. I set up an appointment with Jerry and knew right away I had come to the right place! He was a pleasure to work with and helped me fulfill the vision I had. At the appointment he pulled some flowers that he had on hand and made a "mock-up" of my bouquet. I actually had more fun collaborating with Jerry on the bouquet than I did picking out a wedding dress!

For my May wedding I wanted flowers like sweet pea, peony, lavender, thistle, and ranunculus, and I was lucky that all of those flowers were in season. Jerry used a gorgeous star-shaped thistle and sprigs of lavender in the bouquet which I loved. I sent him the hem of my wedding dress after I had it altered (it was chiffon) and he was able to use part of it to wrap around the end of the bouquet and he secured it in place with pearl stick-pins and gold wire: stunning!

In order to avoid delivery fees I picked up the bouquet myself and kept it in my fridge overnight; Jerry gave explicit instructions on how to keep the bouquets fresh overnight. His suggestions worked and the flowers remained beautiful for the entirety of my wedding day. Hepatica - exceptional florist for wedding reception!!. I selected Hepatica (specifically, Rachel at Hepatica) for my wedding reception after someone in my mother's law office received an amazing floral arrangement delivery. I had met with and received a quote from a different florist for the wedding, but really didn't feel great about it-- I didn't think he really "got" me, and understood the look and feel I was going for. So I called Hepatica, and after they determined that they were available for my date, I met with Rachel. I didn't have exact pictures, just a few that were "kind of" like what I wanted. She asked me all the right questions, and completely got inside my head. I felt confident that she knew exactly what I wanted and could make it happen without hesitation. What I ended up with was a very natural, "tuscan-feel" wedding, full of ivory, leaves and branches, moss, and countless candles in glass. It was simply amazing. One word of advice... she is not the greatest at returning calls/emails- but don't fear... she has it under control! :) I highly recommend her for any event- especially a wedding. I remember that I didn't see many reviews for Hepatica about weddings... mostly just her exquisite (and yes, they are) floral arrangements. I was worried about that- but there was no need. HEPATICA - Exceptional Service and Design. I had the pleasure of dealing with Hepatica for the first time yesterday. After calling my regular florist, who may now be my former florist I called another local florist who was not able to help with a rush delivery but was kind enough to refer me to HEPATICA. I am always leary of picking a rabbit out of a hat so this referral was greatly appreciated. Upon calling Hepatica I was so relieved. Dealing with Mary was a pleasure, she understood my situation and was very professional and compassionate. The I received wonderful service and the arrangement I requested was amazing. Hepatica's Floral Arrangement. My experience of Hepatica Florist on Braddock Ave 15218 over the last few years is consistent creativity and beauty of the foral products they produce. What brings me to write this in this 2010's Christmas floral arrangement that they have just delivered. It's composition is amazing, I could not have asked for anything more appropriate in response to what I asked for.
