The Scene
Sadly, the quality of food and service had deteriorated with each passing name change ... until Kazansky's. The new owners have made a concentrated effort to improve the place, and it shows.
The Food
The chicken soup, which once reminded you of hot water passed through a chicken, is now strong, redolent with flavor and full of light, fluffy matzoh balls. Combination sandwiches are nice. A favorite is the double yoy, which layers corned beef, roast turkey, chopped liver, cole slaw and tomato on rye.
In Addition
For something different, try the barbecued salami, which is baked in a tasty, tangy sauce. It sounds awful, but it tastes great.

I remember coming here as a child (then called Rhoda's) for their chicken noodle soup and corned beef sandwiches, and when the opportunity came up for my family to go back a few weeks ago, we jumped at the chance. Under new ownership, anda name change, the place remained the same. Great service, and the food is just as delicious as ever! Theor Matzo Balls are as big as grapefruits! Perfect lunchtime spot!
