bland.. We order from silk pagoda on a regular basis. never really had a problem with them until recently. Yes their food has been a little bland in the past, and they sometimes mix up our order, but no big deal.

This time however, every item we ordered was bland. the soups were overcooked, the noodles had no flavor, the dumplings were artificial green in color and in taste, there was no spice in anything. The spring rolls have olives and other weird vegetables, seeming like they just threw whatever vegetables left in the kitchen into a wrap. Everything was less than mediocre. We would definitely not recommend this restaurant. Traveling further for half decent food would be a better option then settling for this unsatisfactory recycled Chinese food from days previous. No matter how much you crave Chinese food, this is not the place to pursue it.

Great all around!. The Silk Pagoda is my families favorite Chinese restauraunt. We order delivery from there at least once a month. When I call the sweet lady who always answers the phone recognizes my voice. They always arrive within 15 minutes and everything is always cooked perfectly.

We are big fans of the Green Jade Delight.

Good food, decent portions, good lunch prices.. While a couple folks I know don't like this place, almost everyone I've taken here likes their food and have returned for more. Personally, I LOVE their egg-drop soup and think it's the best I've ever had. IF you're like me and prefer a stronger, darker egg drop soup, you MUST try it from here.

Do avoid their egg-roll. While I've never tried them here as I don't like egg-rolls in the first place, EVERYONE I've gone here with has said their egg-rolls are bad.

Avoid -- the food is terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant. I've eaten there a number of times because it's close to where I live and the service is fast so I go there when I'm very hungry and looking for something quick. The reason why they're fast is because they don't have a lot of customers. Unfortunately, the food is terrible and don't taste fresh at all.

Judging from the location, you'd never guess the quality of the cooking inside this Chinese gem.. The Scene
You have to look for the Silk Pagoda sign in this residential neighborhood's small strip mall, as the entrance doesn't front the street. But seek and you shall be rewarded with well-prepared food, presented beautifully.

The Food
Chef Shiao Mei Liang is Taiwanese, and treats his seafood with respect. Never overcooked, shrimp and squid dishes are crisp and moist, especially the squid in garlic sauce. Another item of interest is the twice-cooked pork with tofu in a rich, delicate sauce. Tofu is an important part of the menu, which draws a number of vegetarians. Vegetarian garden--mixed chopped vegetables, mushrooms and dry bean curd wrapped in tofu skin--is a fine dish that is impossible to find anywhere else. And noodle lovers will not be disappointed by any of the chow fun dishes.
