40.437073 -79.922823Bad sports bar. What sports bar refuses to change the audio from a game no one is watching to the game everyone in the bar is watching. Manager wouldn't even listen reasonably to the request-he walked away stating: it's already set. The food sucked, too.
Best Burgers. Easily one of the best burgers in Pittsburgh. Surprisingly good salads and more. Consistent quality. We've been going for years and have kept it in the rotation.
its okay. Be prepared. They want you in and out. I met work staff there one day and once some ppl in our party started leaving, they insisted on moving us. again, and again. And definitely not friendly about it. Plus they screwed up the checks and acted like they had better places to be. pretty rude overall. But the food was good. and of course the beer.
My favorite bar in Pittsburgh!. There are plenty of TV's with plenty of sports. The wait staff is great! The food is tremendous! YAY WINGS! Very good wings, amazingly big burgers, awesome salads, and they used to have a chicken quesadilla that made my toes tingle! The mixed drinks are pretty good too, and not too badly priced for Pittsburgh. Parking can be a BEAR in Squirrel Hill though, so be prepared to circle a few blocks to find a space. I've always loved hanging out here!

The Scene
Larger than its exterior suggests, Silky's has eight TVs downstairs and two upstairs, airing everything from sitcom reruns to sports shows and big games. Husband-and-wife owners Lois and Al Lampenfeld opened the bar in 1982 next to the ever-popular Poli's, and they didn't lose many patrons in 1989 when it moved to its current site up the street.
The Draw
Besides the famed 10 TVs, a lot of the loyalty can be attributed to the bar's open atmosphere, which attracts college students, suits and blue-collars alike. Dilapidated menus feature a silhouette of a pair of legs in high heels next to a martini above a barrel that reads "18 Beers on Tap"--so don't expect fine-dining fare. But selections arrive at the table fast and big; faves include the Pittsburgher, a 16-ounce version of the bar's signature Silky burger.
Great Neighborhood Sports Bar. Silky's is the place to be for football and hockey. Plenty of TVs and good beers on tap. Plus Jay is easily the best bartender in Pittsburgh. The shuffleboard table is awesome too.
Great bar!. Great place to go and hang out with friends or just get a beer in those boring nights! the bar has nice cigars and upstairs is a little better for a good conversation with a date.
