Excellent tailor! I have been going to
Mr. Distilo for years since I was a teenager and his work has always been nothing but excellent.
A few weeks ago I walked in to Mr. Distilo's shop to have my bridesmaid dress tailored and to my surprise a woman was there in place of Mr. Distilo. She informed me he was very sick and I was in disbelief. I did not know what to do because Mr. Distilo would usually have time to fix my cloths last minute and I knew I would not have a problem with them. I was hesitant to leave my dress there but I really needed this dress to be altered. The tailor's name was Rosanne and she made me feel more comfortable about leaving my dress with her.
I picked my dress up two days ago for the wedding I am in this week. Rosanne told me that Mr. Distilo passed away this week and I am deeply saddened he was a great man and I will always remember him as and tailor.
I honestly could not be happier with my dress! Rosanne is an old fashion tailor and I will be going to her for everything that I need. Like I said, I was hesitant but her tailoring ability is excellent I highlyyyy recommend her!!
Best tailor in town!.
I was lucky enough to purchase a second hand Burberry coat, but sadly the shoulders were a throwback to the 80's -very padded and wide. I loved everything about the coat except for that. My sewing skills are limited so I knew I couldn't tackle the job and looked for a local tailor to help. I was so lucky to find Mr Distilo- he's a genius! While I tried on the coat in his shop he marked the shoulder with tailor's chalk and told me that removing the shoulder pads alone wouldn't fix the problem like I thought- there was too much material there. He said he could fix it and it would take only two weeks.
I picked up my coat Friday and was thrilled. It looks beautiful- I can't even tell anything was done to it- the mark of an excellent tailor. He had to pick apart the lining, redo the shoulder pads, cut down the shoulders of the coat and put it back together, then do the same with the lining and then put that all back in place. It was a very labor intensive job indeed. And the cost for all this beautiful handwork was only $25! I'm telling all my friends and relatives about Mr Distilo and I know I'll use him for every future tailoring job I have. Now I can wear my beautiful new to me coat- and believe me, when I do I'll be mentioning Mr Distilo as the gentleman who made it look new again!
