Avoid This Store. I have not shopped in this store for about 10 years and now I remember why. I did however this time to purchase a dress for my son's wedding from a suggestion from a friend. Before my purchase, I was given the "red carpet" treatment and prepaid for a dress in a color that they did not have in stock. My salesgirl, Inna was very nice and professional and she was why I did agree to that policy. When I came to get it fitted for alterations and Inna was not there, one would have thought that I had a disease by the way the other saleswomen avoided me. After coming back a week and a half later, the sleeves were crooked on the jacket and I had to return an hour and a half later. When I did, I was presented with a $90 bill which, in the 3 times I was there, was never told that I would owe for alterations. The manager Ellen was not there because they said she was having her hair done and did not want to bother her and/or couldn't be reached. I insisted that she be called. As above, she was very rude and stated that there is a sign on the counter that the customer would be charged for alterations. This is simply not true and of all the times I was there including two seamstresses fitting me, no one mentioned that information to me. After searching for a sign, the only one that was AROUND the corner was one that posted that hem alterations were free of charge. Now I remember why I will not shop there (nor should you) again.
Numerous unpleasant experiences.
I have purchased several dresses at Lintons over the last few years. I have overlooked the annoying and overbearing sales staff because in general I like their merchandise.
Recently I picked up a dress from their shop that was not hemmed properly (the lining was hanging well below the dress hem on half the dress) . With being a bridesmaids dress and living out of town there is no time to fix this mistake in person. The Manager Ellen Calig was very rude; there was no apology for the poor hem, she was unwilling to offer a $10 refund for the work that was not done properly, and continued to argue over the facts even though her salesperson saw the work that was done. I made it very clear to her that given our timeline we are not able to come in for another repair. I found her to be extremely arrogant and in no way shape or form customer service oriented. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a retail setting.
No more Linton's for me, my family or my friends!
